If he doesn't show up in Civil War due to Zemo and Iron Man hogging the screen, should Taskmaster be in Iron Fist? I really want to see this guy appear somewhere but he and Fist have never really fought in the comics.

Doesn't he have some kind of connection to Scott Lang? I realize he's kind of a comics freelancer, but it feels (from Lang's perspective) that he's dealt with him a bit more than usual.

Don't know. I can see him being better utilised in a captain America movie

Yes, but not in this movie, lol.

Well, this isn't a movie, but I tend to agree.

If anything, Agents of SHIELD would be a more logical television show to have him on if we're going the TV route.

I predict he'd appear on SHIELD before the Iron Fist Show. But the IF show should have lots of martial arts villains, they can pull from IF, Shang Chi, etc. Razorfist should also be in the mix.

Taskmaster would actually be cool showing up in multiple titles. It would showcase his abilities that much better being able to go toe to toe any style necessary.

No. Iron Fist has his own set of rogues that deserve the spotlight.

Yea, I hope Tasky has some fluidity. Which would be pretty easy since he is not often seen without his mask. You can always just dress up a stunt double and Vader the voice.

Don't know about him in Iron Fist, but definitely around. Didn't they write in a rivalry with Coulson somewhere?

if not used n cap, shieldor daredevil why not?

He has the immortal weapons which are pretty cool and definitely deserve a place in the marvel cinematic universe

How about Grant Ward appearing?

Exactly what version of Taskmaster do you want?

How about Grant Ward appearing?

Unless he gets a noteworthy power-up since getting shot by Skye, no. Villains in the Iron Fist show should be people Danny can fight, or at least people who can credibly gather minions he can fight. Grant Ward is neither.

Presumably the argument is he's Taskmaster. I hope not and I like Grant Ward.

I've only read his own first series and the one with Power Man. Who does he have other than Steel Serpent?

Well I assume that the series will be heavily New York based due to what was said in the initial press conference, with some flashbacks to K'un-L'un. So that most likely means Harold Meachum, Ninja, Master Khan (characters from his original run). Save Steel Serpent and the Living Weapons for the second season.

You can also "borrow" any number of low level supervillains, of which Marvel has tons.

What is it with people and Taskmaster? He's not that cool, you guys.

Sir, I'm gong to have to escort you off of the premises. :o

I'd rather it be like this.

Season 1 - Harold and Joy Meachum + Chaka. Steel Serpent in the last two episodes along with Scythe and Triple Iron as random goons. Have the season finale guest star Spider-Man.

Season 2 - Warhawk, Radeon and Master Khan. Some of the 90s-era Steel Serpent stories can work here as well.

Season 3 - Steel Serpent's revenge. Adaptation of The Last Iron Fist Story with Orson Randall.

Season 4 - Immortal Weapons tournament + Xao with Hydra.

Season 5 - Mortal Iron Fist story with the curse of the Iron Fist + Escape from the 8th City.

Personally, I'd fit Taskmaster into the 1st, 2nd and 4th seasons just because the potential for epic fight scenes with him is there.

He's an expert martial artist that can perfectly mimic any fighting style. Meaning Iron Fist would have to come up with a compelling strategy for how to beat him.

Plus he's also an interesting character. He's more of an antihero. He's a merc for hire but he has standards and a moral code he lives by.

I also get the sense that he struggles with identity. So good at copying others that he has lost his own sense of self and identity.

What is it with you and wanting Spiderman to team up with Iron Fist to fight the Steel Serpent? I swear I've seen you post this on the Spidey boards.

I think Marvel should just stick to the characters from the Iron Fist mythology, just like they are doing with Daredevil. One of the things that makes Marvel so appealing is taking characters who haven't got that much time in the spotlight and showcasing them, their supporting characters and their villains. I don't want to see Taskmaster shoved into an Iron Fist, Luke Cage or Daredevil show just because people want a live action Taskmaster.

Honestly, not really. If your talking about the comic version, or assuming they will be equivalent, Taskmaster isn't in Danny's league. Tasky's good, but he's basically at the top of the human range, a guy who can give Cap a solid fight ( or win more often than not, but only because he's specially adapted to Cap's fighting style ). Danny is well beyond that. Taskmaster shouldn't be able to take on Spider-man, and he equally shouldn't be able to take on Iron Fist.

I'm also really kind of iffy on how much drama you could get out of his, relatively shallow, merc antihero persona. It just doesn't meaningfully interact with Danny's themes. You'd be better off using him with Luke Cage, where you could draw comparisons between their attitudes towards using their abilities to make money.

i think Taskmaster, Punisher, Razor-Fist, Shang-Chi and Shocker should make at least one appearance...
the more appearance and fan feedback and demand a character gets- the more likely he has to not only re-appear for that particular series ,.. but possibly others in the future ( Luke Cage, etc.)
