fixed :oldrazz:

And I agree. Of all the things wrong with the movie, that mid-credits scene is not one of them.

Hoping that the Extended Cut is more in line with the novelization. It wouldn't be perfect, nor the "original movie" but it has a completely restructured first act, and an extended second and third act, and that would go a loooong way in fixing this movie. I think it's fairly likely that may happen. Ie. movie opening up with June Moon getting possessed, then going to the "no money no honey" deadshot scene, then Harley and Joker getting chased by Batman, then Deadshot getting arrested by Batman, original dinner scene etc etc.

You have no idea how much I want this to be the case.

Yeah, I'd love for us to see the alternative version of the Common incident and the dialog that Harley and Joker have in the car before Bats shows up.

What doesn't make sense about it? The entire Midway City debacle is her own fault for recruiting these villains in the first place. People are asking questions about what happened in Midway City, "the kind of people that can get the answers" and if people find out that Amanda recruited an army of Supervillians for work for the US Government, thus causing Enchantress to go rogue and try to end the world, then her "head will be on a pike." She's meeting with Bruce because he has the resources to protect her. I'm not the biggest proponent of this movie, its a disaster really, but I thought the post credit scene was great.

this literally makes no sense. she's meeting with bruce, some rich billionare playboy to get protection? how do bruce's resources provide her with any measure of "protection?" second, the situation is absurd. why would waller reveal her role in the midway city disaster to an outsider like wayne. and why would bruce even take the meeting and demand the meta human data still under the public guise of bruce wayne? nothing fits. the end scene should have been a batman/waller scene, and batman should have taken the metahuman data on his own accord. waller could still intimate she knows batman is bruce, thereby maintaining her measure of leverage.

the after credit scene as it is makes no sense when you actually think about it.

It's been hinted that this was not the first meeting of the two, since this is an experienced Batman, we can assume that they know each other and have shared some secrets before.

11 extra minutes according to the cover

she's not meeting with "some rich billionaire playboy" she's meeting with Batman, which was clear she knew exactly who he is. and as stated, it very likely was not their first meeting.

Also, weird abut that cover stating its only 11 minutes longer when the press release said 13??

edit: wait a second, confirming that this is not just an "extended cut" and is more of an "Alternate cut"??? - which would account for the other 2 minutes that are lost there. We are seeing 13 minutes of "new footage" but by removing some of the old footage it makes it shorter.

Yeah, you're probably right. Some stuff has been shifted around.

most likely I would guess is that they put the original dinner scene in, and put the flashbacks into the proper place. And by cutting out the old long exposition full scene and rearranging a bit they chopped 2 minutes off. Less likely would be the original pre-reshot ending was reinstated, OR (fat chance)all of the above.

i just finally saw this movie. god, what a misstep. bland, predictable, nonsensical, and a waste of very cool characters and performances.

the after credit scene also made no damn sense. if i re-wrote that scene, i'd have waller get a call at home getting briefed about a data breach of their metahuman data earlier in the day. then her door creaks open, she grabs a gun, and investigates. she sees nothing -- until batman is behind her. she doesn't seem phased and puts the gun away. they exchange some barbs -- she intimates she knows he's bruce, and he warns her to shut down her program because he and his friends have it from here. this would serve to have batman be much more active in how he procured the metahuman data, and it makes their interaction a bit more exciting. as it is, it makes no damn sense why she's meeting with wayne, why she's asking wayne for protection, and why bruce needs to cut deals to get information.

Agreed.

Because she knows he's Batman, she even plays at it during the scene. Also this is probably how Bats found Deadshot, with the help of Waller.

Eh, 2 minutes shorter is no big deal. As long as the 11 minutes of footage is strong it could still end up making the film stronger. A few more mins showing June possessed like the novel, a few more mins of Joker and Harley, and maybe some extended action sequences wold make me happy.

If you type in "JOKER" in the search bar (on the ARGUS site) his file shows up. No image, no text aside from ALIAS - Clown Prince of Crime, but it's interesting that he's the only one that shows up when you do a search.

Crime Prince of Crime heh

still doesn't make sense why bruce takes that meeting and publicly demands metahuman data as bruce. the thing is, bruce isn't supposed to know waller knows he's batman, or at least not with certainty. the fact he takes that meeting and says he can offer her protection as bruce is absurd. a batman/waller scene is simply far superior in every way -- it's more exciting and makes more sense.

Waller knew in the JL cartoon, it's not that far fetched
