Civil War.

It wasn’t bad but it’s not as great as people are making it out to be. Yes, it is upsetting to see a realistic depiction of violence in American cities but it’s not like I was shocked either. Maybe that says something about me being jaded.

The performances are strong, I felt for the characters. They were going through it. Kirsten Dunst was good at playing a deeply bitter and traumatized woman but part of me thought that she wasn’t acting. From her interviews over the years, I think she’s genuinely bitter about her time in Hollywood. She’s not a happy woman so in a way, she’s playing herself. It made me sad, she’s come a long way from being a happy woman in 2002, and not in a good way.
