^Interesting. What comic is he appearing in?

EDIT: Nevermind. looked it up. He's going to be appearing in the new "Original Sin" story. Synergy!

That's pretty cool!
So, it looks like Marvel got some influence from the show:

The new Deathlok...

In all honesty, I don't really care to see Ward all that much next season, nor do I want him explored much further. I'd be fine with him being locked away to only be seen from every once in a blue moon, or never.

I guess you won't mind then if, in the Netflix series, Daredevil goes back to his Rex Smith all-black costume a la The Trial of the Incredible Hulk.

Strawman is full of straw. There are more possibly positions than "photo-identical!" and "run the comics through the shredder!" In fact, there is a whole spectrum of positions, dependent on each character and each medium.

Which is to say, Deathlok doesn't need to look exactly like the comic, because he's significantly divergent from the comic in origin. He's a new version, not the Luther Manning or Michael Collins version. He doesn't need the red spandex bodysuit.

Here is my follow up to the review I posted earlier. I go into detail about all of the unanswered questions as well as where season 2 might take us. Its a bit long but Id appreciate any looks :D

@Metaphysician - I agree he doesn't have to look like his comic counterpart but i would appreciate a new look, he is no longer a part of Cybertek or HYDRA, change up his duds to show a little independence and give us something less clunky.

I'm in a similar place with regard to Ward.

I went from "he's ok, I guess" pre-CA:TWS to "I'm ****ing loving evil Ward" after Turn, Turn, Turn to "is that all there is to him?" after the reasons for his villainous behavior and betrayal were revealed. At this point, there just isn't too much there.

Then again, I wouldn't be upset or anything if they gave him a compelling arc in season 2, but I'm just struggling to think of what that might be.

Ya I kind of feel bad for Brett since he loves the MCU so much but it's going to be really hard to give us something with Ward next season that we can actually care about or be interested in that wont piss a lot of people of i.e. the redemption route.

But then again as far as I have heard he is still listed as a lead role in season 2. I think when they start production and release some of the first promo shots for season 2 it will give us an idea as to where he stands

Ditto, thought the scar over the eye was an "M" at first

If Deathlok has extremis in him then id make the side of his head and jaw which is supposed to be metallic as well as his left arm glow when he's in kickass mode.

has this been posted?

If he became something much more than Hydra operative (namely becoming a supervillain with powers or something to that effect), I'd be more on board with more Ward.

What if Ward took on the Ronin identity? Secretly being released by Talbot or somebody to do stealth ops missions in order to get time off his sentence, Thunderbolts style?

That would be a great twist, I'd so be onboard with that. I think it would be cool if we don't actually see him till the reveal at the end of the season but during the whole season somebody is always helping the team out that only we, the audience sees. And with every mission the team grows more suspicious that someone is helping them from the shadows and they assume it's Mikelok but it's really Ward.

Could be cool

I could see Ward figuring into the big cliffhanger that'll surely end the first half of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Agent Carter begins it's run in-between the first and second half.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Clark Gregg on Season 2

^ I love how much Clark Gregg enjoys his job. He's a cool dude, who is humble and grateful for the hand he's been dealt.

Also, although some of them would never happen, I love some of his suggestions at the end! (Rocket Raccoon!)

I downloaded it will watch at home.

hahahaha love the Ward video

Made a Hub Access Screen in the fan art section by the way

I only just realised that it was the military that made the clean up of the compound, and therefore took away the prisoners. I was pretty bewildered as to where the team was planning on keeping Ward before. As it is, ending up in Talbot's hands does not bode well for Ward, as he will certainly will not be sent free to protect the team from the shadows. I can actually see the military metaforically collaring him to become his 2rd iteration of toxic commanders and forcing him to go on missions against SHIELD (as in maybe they have the same ultimate goal in season 2). Cue lots of angst and drama peppered with character growth for Ward as he learns how to stop being a human weapon and become just human, thus opening an eventual door for him to ditch Talbot and return to Coulson's team for season 3.

It'll be interesting to see which Marvel Comics characters show up in season two. I'd actually like to see someone take up the Ronin moniker. There are also some characters I see who were Avengers in the comics that could easily appear in Season Two without having to join the Avengers lineup in the MCU (although they may need to change their stories a bit).

I wonder if Talbot will come to arrest Coulson for shooting him in Providence.. or maybe Maria and Stark got their lawyers ready to defend Coulson

I would love to see Wendell Vaughn (Quasar) or his father Prof. Vaughn as people working on Alien contact and research (maybe SWORD)

Ward becoming Ronin would be a fitting twist. The name now fits him rather well too (a 'masterless samurai', now Garrett is toast). I figure some of Season 2 will cover his trying to find new reason and purpose having wasted his adult life licking Garretts heels. Him being recruited as Ronin in a thunderbolts like role wouldn't be a bad idea.
