Justice League Ray Fisher Is Victor Stone/Cyborg

The thing is... I was not extra stoked for Cyborg, but after watching his footage in the teaser, like on repeat, because I really love it, I got really excited about him. His movements and the way he speaks and how his jaws move, there's something really cool about that. :woot:

He looks like donkey crap. The mechanical aspects of his body are just too busy and jagged.

Probably wanting to avoid the nonsense Iron Man stuff. Besides he's prime for upgrades.

Yeah it's clearly not a costume as it were. It's very pieced together.

I like the jaw action. The mechanics are moving them which is why it seems unnatural.

Seriously the more I look at it, you gotta feel sorry for the guy. It's like how Alex Murphy in the new Robocop was revealed to be a head and lungs.......kinda funny give Rick Flagg's actor.

Can someone explain this to me. How does Cyborg look human if his transformation already took place prior to this movie?

Flashback liked said above or hopefully like the New 52. In New 52 Vic's tech is derived from a Motherbox which is basically sapient/alive. It evolves to the point where Vic can use nanites to make organic material and he can be "human" if he chooses to.

I LOVE how Ray looks as Cyborg. The design is perfect. CG is pretty good even this early into production. Once the movie is finished he'll look fantastic. I always imagined him having just a little bit of robotic, mechanical sound to his voice, though.

Ihop he does not have the option to look human. Huge ppotential here. A young kid with a very bright future now basically has to permanently look like a robot.

That would be a huge mindjob

I think in the short term not having the option is good. Eventually I'd like to see more bio organic design like the Cyborg comic.

Now as to Victor in the trailer. Either Flashback or a dream.

The best thing about Cybrorg is that his suit is CGI. It would be great to see him modify his suit a couple of times in the movie.

I don't like it cause it emasculates him.

It's a lot more compelling or a "mindjob" if he could look human, but he clearly knows he isnt 100% human (cause he basically knows everything cause computers), and he wonders whether he's still a man at all or a machine that looks like a man.

That I can concede to because it makes sense. Other than Superman Cyborg is potentially the most powerful Leaguer due to versatility. He has so many powers that he doesn't know how to use yet and a lot more he doesn't even know he has.

He's smaller than I expected with his robot parts.

Never really liked Cyborg, so I've got a long wait to see if JL can change my mind.

A bit fuller shot of Cyborg can be seen here:

The design makes me think of Bay's Transformers.

Ray looks great. I feel like it's a spot on cast.

There's this mechanical hissing when he speaks in the trailer, it's not too pronounced but it's definitely there.

And yeah, I love his looks too.

Yep, there's some metal screeching. But we should expect more changes to all of it, since it's in the middle of production.

GCU: Gotham City University I presume?

My take on the reason why Cyborg is in this movie is since his creation required a Motherbox, or the Motherbox saved his life, whichever way you look at it, and he will be able to communicate/sense Motherbox activity/presence. This would be a key role if the Motherboxes are the Macguffin of the story. Also, his abilities would help with hacking into electronic systems, etc.

His ability, knowledge and communication with earthly or other worldly technology will bring a lot to the table IMO.
