Homecoming Post-Homecoming: Who's the best Spidey and Peter Parker?

As much as I adore Tobey Maguire's version, there's a new king in town now and it's Tom Holland.

I'm really pleased to see most people agree on this, by an overwhelming majority. Tom just nailed it!

I hope it's not a Ben Affleck scenario where everyone was like "he is the best Batman ever", and then after a week "maybe not, Bale might still be better".

Alot of us had been saying it since civil war, so this just cements it if anything.

I think Tobey was a great Peter Parker/Spider-Man, and he's always the voice that'll be in my head when I read a comic book simply because that's what I grew up with, and while I really enjoyed Garfield's Spider-Man (his Peter Parker was very portly written for someone of his caliber when it comes to acting, but Holland absolutely knocks it out of the park when it comes to playing this role. He's absolutely fantastic.

Agreed 100%. He is the total package. Great movie and great Spidey!

Tom Holland. Period. Maguire & Garfield both had their strengths/weaknesses.

I like all equally so with that being said I will avoid this thread

Ask this question in a few years. Let the new car smell fade a minute.....

I loved both Holland & Maguire

Tom definitely takes it, he feels like a live action version of all my favorite takes of High School Peter. Not to take away from the other two, they brought their own unique elements to the character, but Tom felt like the quintessential Spidey, in a way I haven't seen since seeing Josh Keaton's Peter. I loved every second of Tom.

The thing here for me is that both Tobey and Tom were great Peter Parkers, but Tom was a GREAT Spider-Man. I just feel like Marvel Studios has a great knack for casting their heroes right and just making them feel like true characters, both with or without the mask.

Just got back from seeing it and I have to say Magire is the worst of the 3 by far when it comes to Spider-Man. Garfield is still the best Spider-Man but Tom is the best Peter. Garfield Peter was not like nerdy enough, Magire was like to nerdy and Tom is like in the middle. Tom was the funniest but a lot of that has to do with what he had to work with. Garfield gave the best performance has Spider-Man.

Tom is perfect for both Parker and Spidey. No contest

But this is a legit representation of Spider-Man from the comics, not the Punisher in a bat costume. :o

People were already calling Tom the Best incarnation since Civil war and a year later they keep saying the same thing so i think it's a different case.

I thought Holland absolutely owned the role. One of the best CBM casting ever.
