Friday Friday Friday.

No, I don't know anything. Just trying to will it into reality. Come on, Kimmel.

I know she won't single handedly defeat Thanos, but some of these fanboys feel threatened by her and I find that amusing.
They don't feel threatened. They feel it's unearned and they are right. They would say the same if it was sentry coming in and beating thanos.

That isn't around the corner :(

Haha, really hoping it comes out sometime this week or next latest
yeah me too-- but w/Comic Con so close I would be suprised to see them do it before since ComicCon would provide such a huge platform--- it would be the talk of the show! So my guess is we won't see it before then, cuz then all the stuff from ComicCon might overshadow it... that's just my guess though.

Eh, New York Comic Con may have higher attendance, but it isn't SDCC. We usually get stuff from the TV side of Marvel outta there, but not the movies. Anything that comes out of that Con would almost certainly not overshadow a Captain Marvel trailer, whenever it's released, imo.

I know it’s too early but I wonder what their plans are for a sequel? It would be fun if they build up Moonstone as a Sarah Palin type who’s paranoid about earth’s survival and wants earth to become an empire that rivals the skrulls and the kree. So carol goes from fighting the skrulls and kree in this one to fighting with them

Is this film going to be marketed as "Marvel's Captain Marvel", like Marvel's The Avengers, Marvel's Agents of SHIELD and other properties? Or would that be overkill?

The ones crying about Carol being stronger than Thor or Hulk definitely feel threatened, as if who 'deserves' to be the strongest hero is anything to actually give a **** about lmao

I still can't get over the fact that her fists actually sparkle.

I know this is a joke, but it IS super convenient for Carol to have the brand built right into her name, lol.

I think they've only put "Marvel's" when there's some doubt and they want to bring some clarity. For example, with the Avengers, because there was already the 1998 movie "The Avengers", they wanted to distinguish it from that earlier entry.

I'm surprised they didn't do it with Thor though. Thor is not specifically Marvel but a more general Norse mythology. Anyone could potentially make a Thor movie based on an adaptation of that Norse myth. It wouldn't be the Marvel character.

With Black Widow, I wonder if they will call it Marvel's Black Widow though. There already are several films with that name made over the decades. Of note is one with Debra Winger and Theresa Russell in 1987. There's a remake of that with Elizabeth Berkley and Alicia Coppola. There are a few others too. I think they would have to call ScarJo's one Marvel's Black Widow, or give her a subtitle to set it apart, like "Black Widow: Red Sparrow" or "Black Widow: Atomic Blonde." :o

Isn't it still Wednesday where you're at? He still has two more shows according to the schedule of Ben Mendelson on Thursday.
Yeah but all my hopes were resting on that Friday "TBA" line-up, which I've just seen the line-up for and no one Captain Marvel-related in sight. It could happen with Mendelsohn tomorrow I suppose, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up now. I feel like if that were gonna happen, they would've likely teased it today or something.

Kimmel tends not to do a new show on Friday so the TBA is typically there because it's not usually known which rerun will be put there until like Thursday.

unrelated question, I thought the threads always ends at page 41?

That’s going to have some fun potential. I can see a Darth Vader in rogue one-esque scene in a captain marvel movie with her just lighting up and going to town on people

Preferably Skrulls, like she did in Secret Invasion. I wonder if MCU Carol will develop the same hatred for Skrulls that comic Carol has.

They used to... but that was before the Great Change. RIP Thread Manager.
