Rob Pattinson, Nicholas Hoult Atop Short List For ‘The Batman’

Matt Reeves is getting close to naming his Batman. While a report declared that Twilight Saga star Rob Pattinson had been set for The Batman, Deadline hears that the filmmaker and Warner Bros haven’t gotten to that place yet. Pattinson is on a short list but so is Nicholas Hoult, who stars in Tolkien and is about to open in the X-Men: First Class film Dark Phoenix. We’ll keep you posted as this unfolds, but several sources said that right now, the bat suit isn’t filled yet and that they like both guys, with Pattinson holding the edge.

Not a done deal yet, but it's Variety, so the closest to official cast so far. Very close to a final anyway.

Yes, he's one of my favorite! Wanted him more than ATJ and Hoult, both which I dug too. Hyped for Battinson!

So it's still not a final deal but the trades heard the same, Pattinson and Hoult with Pattinson with the upper hand.
I'd love any of those two.

Is Pattinson my first choice if he gets the nod? No he's not.

However, I feel like we could do far worse here, especially if the likes of Nicholas Hoult or Aaron Taylor Johnson were in mind.

Let me just say this, I can see Pattinson more as a younger version of Batman than say Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan.

And let's be honest, Ryan Reynolds was NEVER a good choice for Hal Jordan. Wally West? Heck yes. Hal Jordan? No.

Tolkien (2019)

Tolkien was not a good movie folks. It got ****ty reviews. He was a weak JRR Tolkien.

Did anyone here see it? It was a ****ty pedestrian biopic.
