Anyone that would roll their eyes today at your post isn't serious about politics or policy or the social fabric or public order.

We passed through the hyperbole wormhole a long, long time ago. We passed it when we had clear evidence of the Russians running operations targeting our election in 2016 for the purpose of supporting Trump.

We passed beyond it when the GOP in the Senate abdicated their constitutional responsibilities when the evidence of Trump's guilt was so apparent.

And we have for sure sling shot our way past it now that there are 200,000 more grieving families in 2020 than there were in 2019.

Incompetent or not, we on top of everything else do have to seriously think about, between today and inauguration day (Some are keeping election day as a countdown... I'm waiting until Biden has a hand on the bible and has taken the oath... And even then as I'll get to.) that we have a fascist movement in this country. A thriving one too since frankly it's currently a movement whose leadership is in control of on party and the nation at the highest levels.

To which I say... Levels? You wanna negotiate this **** now? We have an armed police force which is loyal only to the president via AG Barr attacking peaceful protesters. We have the complete and illegal disregard for the Constitutional powers of Congress. You have crony capitalism run amok with regulartory capture and self deals out in the open. You have invisible scapegoats and demagoguery in attempts to rile the masses. You have a literal daily deluge of misinformation and propaganda which includes let's remind all, a regularly scheduled "briefing" by the dear leader in which he proclaims all against him as being against the nation or liars.

The list could go on and be prolific AF as well as be backed up by actual, fact based evidence (Not bull**** slung online by the president's media enablers on cable, talk radio and various conspiracy theorists. That is, in two words, ****ing garbage. Usually put out and believed by frankly, garbage people.) all available in the public record now. None of this has been hidden. It has been right there for eyes to see.

And the number one thing we need to keep in mind is that even should we get a Biden win and a Democratic landside to rock the ages... We now know that there are at minimum many millions of our fellow citizens perfectly comfortable going down the the road to fascist authoritarianism regardless of the outcomes. The people that would dismiss the deaths of over 200,00 (At this point.) of their fellow Americans? They'd be easy to convince to actively take part in the deaths of that many of their fellow Americans.

In a way, they already are.

Joe Rogan can be decent 90% of the time, but that other 10% of the time is extremely dangerous crap that should disqualify him from being any sort of voice in the general discourse.

I love the Pakman, even if he used bots to get to the 1m mark before Sam Seder, but he didn't push back against Joe Rogan. He didn't push back against Tim Pool on his own show. Joe Rogan having a lot of audience members doesn't change who he is, and thus who listens to him. For me, Rogan is no different then something like the Hill's Rising. There might be benefits in terms of exposure for those that go on. They may become enriched in someway. But the alt-right pipeline isn't being diverted.

That said, get that paper progressives. Use it for good.
