Adidas tracksuit Joker?

Is that goth or bondage slave Joker? Then again, I suppose there's kind of an overlap between the two subcultures...

I'd like to see a Joker who just randomly sports a preppy tennis outfit for the whole film. Dunno why.

Nah, it's goth. Practically-black shirt and pants (it's the future though so it makes sense to me), with the darker lipstick and black nail polish.

Hannibal Lecter is nothing like The Joker.

I would say the Mads Mikkelsen version has a *little* in common with the Joker, or at least some versions. Both have a fascination with how someone else could ( theoretically ) become Like Them, given the right circumstances and prodding. Both have a deep and manipulative psychological focus, wherein talking to them is the worst thing you can do. Both have an inclination to the theatrical, at least when Lecter feels like "showing off" as opposed to maintaining his secret ID.

That said, the Mikkelsen version of Hannibal Lecter really isn't all that close to any of the other versions. He's like. . . one half "traditional" Hannibal Lector, one quarter comic book supervillain, and one quarter Satan.

I put spoiler tags because the image is big. This is a Joker design I've been working on. It's supposed to be a possible asylum look he could have, because I believe Joker is in Arkham already. To reflect this his hair has faded back mostly to whatever dark natural color he has, and it's buzzed to reflect a more prison hairstyle, while also being comic accurate to the Snyder run. I'm not a great artist but it's supposed to show that he has chemical burns on the lower half of his face where his mouth was unprotected by the Red Hood mask he wore during a robbery of Ace Chemicals. I don't imagine he fell into a vat of chemicals, but instead they were splashed onto him. It's just a bit more realistic. He also has natural heterochromia and albinism because I think albinism is a great realistic way to give him bleached white skin, and heterochromia is a good way to give his subdued prison look more color. The teardrop tattoos are a reference to the Drop drug, while also being a common clown motif, and referencing the fact he is a murderer. Thoughts? I know it's farrrr from traditional, but I think it would fit really well into Matt Reeves' world.

It's alright, I guess. The hairstyle really depends on the actor IMHO; not a super huge fan of the burns around his mouth and chin or the teardrop tattoo. Not a huge fan of the red nose, but I like the heterochromia.

Props to you for coming up with something new, but I feel like it mixes with the aesthetic just a little TOO well. That, and if he already looks like The Joker somewhat (albinism) then I don't like the idea of messing that resemblance up.

The Ace Chemicals nod tells me it will be a logical extension of Joker. But we’ve seen the fall into a bath of chemicals (we saw it with Nicholson and we saw Leto jump in when Harley took her first fall). I don’t see it happening again on screen unless it’s Red Hood but you have to change it up further. Not just some random joint he stumbles into. Is Joker a chemist in Reeves’ movie?

Imagine a 20 something Jesse Pinkman working at Fring’s lab, but what if he was a psychotic wild card instead? No heart, no redeemable qualities. And THAT dude secretly creates his own drug just to **** with ppl. If he has to be employed, this works for me in Reeves’ world more than a clown dayjob (which was perfect for Joaquin).

Although I’m not the first to have a theory where Joker is a young punk who leads his own gang of nutjobs...My theory is that the Joker will be closer to Alex from A Clockwork Orange. Almost a replica. Even down to his split with his droogs, but instead of Joker going to prison to be reformed...he is sent to Arkham Asylum and convinces everyone that he’s “better” which leads to his release. No breakout.

Before Arkham, Alex/Joker and his droogies (red hood gang) drift through each night committing horrifying crimes just for fun. It’s not an intellectual thing at all. No rhyme or reason to it. It’s f’d up to say the least. Breaking and entering, rape, experimental drugs (remember the Milk Bar aka drug hangout. I would create something similar but related to DROPS). Alex was quite young too. This is me coming back around to my Barry Keoghan theory. He fits this version sooo well. I just rewatched Killing of a Sacred Deer and this guy is BRILLIANT. Deeply unsettling and can change the pitch of his voice and accent no problem. As good as Pattinson. If he’s Mad Hatter or a cop, I’ll be disappointed OR scared of who’s getting cast as Joker cuz how do you OUT CREEP this guy?

I dig the hair, but not the outfit. Looks almost like Ralph Fiennes who, if you think about it, looks like Conrad Veidt.

Conceptually speaking, Veidt's Gwynplaine, who served as one of several influences on the Joker, would be a great place to start in reinventing the character for a new age. He'd need to be modernized a bit, but that goes w/o saying.

That's what excites me. If Keoghan isn't Joker, then who the hell WOULD be?! If he's The Joker then I won't throw a fit or anything but I've already kinda made him up as Hatter in my mind. Right now to me, Joker is either CLJ, Gyllenhaal, or Mackay.

And from what I've seen, Alex essentially IS The Joker in all but name and appearance. I know I've said this before, but lately I've envisioned The Joker (in general) as a psychotic gang leader.
