No Way Home "Down Came The Goblin, and Took The Spider Out" - Willem Dafoe Needs His Thread Too

There's only room for one Goblin in this Spider-Verse town. :o

That's why Dafoe and DeHaan could battle for supremacy to see who gets to stay. Maybe Chris Cooper could even show up as a healthy Norman Osborn who is not on his death bed to fight for the right to be the lone Goblin.

And all of them could get swept aside by Ned the Hog-Goblin.

I kinda wanna see how Peter would fair against a live action version of the hulking Ultimate fire goblin. Surely not well.

I got the chance to meet with one of Marvel's vis dev artists pre-pandemic. The amount of detail and thought they put into the costumes is amazing. They take into consideration everything - the in-universe manufacturer of the costume etc. etc. For instance, with Mysterio they had to consider the fact that his drones/costume wouldn't be manufactured by Stark Industries. Curious to see what they do with these multiverse villains.

Let’s see if he plays coy with the inevitable Spider-Man question or be like Molina and just confirm what we already know.

I'll laugh if the first question is something like

'So, Willem, there are some whispers on social media that have gotten fans in a frenzy, rumours about the return of a very iconic comic book character that you once played... so tell us, are you really coming back as Vulko for Aquaman 2?!'

I do think if any of the other villain rumours are true it would be this one. Dafoe loves playing bad guys and constantly references the Goblin performance as one of his go to points for going "evil" in a role.

I'm assuming he'd love to return as I'd argue he seemed more into being Goblin than Tobey was as Spidey.

Dafoe was even good in the videogame adaptation, especially compared to tge other actors who reprised their roles. Hell, I'd easily take an entire game where we played as the Green Goblin voiced by Dafoe.

He confirmed down in the comments that he did not bring up NWH. Still cool that this took place though.

I could see a version of that happening if he's after Holland's Spider-man for some reason and Tobey's Spider-man joked in a different way that you could have the Goblin stop in his tracks when he realises who it is.
