I still have the thinking of "the death of Chadwick took everyone by surprise, that they weren't ready to recast" mentality. It will remain this for me even when the movie comes out.

If it were me, I would have opted for the recast. Especially given how important I think T'Challa became in pop culture after release.

But I also don't see much value in discussing it. Marvel Studios already announced that he is not being recast. We will just have to see how it plays out. Right now, of the movies this is my least anticipated film. Simply because there is no way this movie won't be an awkward experience, which is out of their control I know. But that doesn't change it will be awkward

I'm hoping Ms Luongo will carry a bit of extra weight in the BP sequel, as I am expecting Nakia to be pregnant with T'Challa's son (and eventual successor).

I’m not sure if I’ll pay to see Eternals or Shang Chi in theaters, I’ll probably read the spoilers and how it ties into the larger MCU and then wait for it to drop on Disney+

I'll watch Shang Chi in theaters because it's an Asian superhero in the MCU and although I am Vietnamese American, I do tend to watch movies with Southeast Asian/South Asian Casts a lot, regardless of genre. It's not going to have the cultural impact that the first Black Panther had, but it will be an important movie.

I mean, I don’t care too much for Snyder’s body of work, but I don’t make it a point to frequently bombard the Justice League thread with negative posts. If I have something to say, I’ll say my thoughts in a somewhat well thought out post or two and leave it at that.

Doing such an act, to me, unless the criticism is constructive, comes across as very insecure in their own fandom. Either said person has too much time on their hands, or didn’t have much of a point to begin with, and is posting for s***ts and giggles to get a rise out of people.

Maybe she already had the child? If they go the female BP route, Nakia is someone I would like to see take the mantle. Lupita is too talented to not be a major player in anything. She didn't fade into obscurity after winning her Oscar 7 or 8 years ago so that's good news.

If anything that post signals to me that she's going to be more involved in the action. I could be wrong though.

She would be nice but it might not be something she wants. My top choices right now are Nakia and Shuri. I don't know if it should be M'Baku.

When Variety mentioned that Daniel Kaluuya was likely going to reprise his role in the film my first thought is "W'Kabi is going to be the Dark Avengers/Thunderbolts version of Black Panther isn't he?"

Look, I’ll freely admit, I got that wrong. That was an honest mistake. I apologize for that.

But, for your information, I wasn’t pretending nothing happened. I moved on from it because I saw no reason in pushing the topic further. I have an actual life and don’t have the time to respond to every single response to my posts on this forum.

Also, I don’t take the time frequently posting “sarcastic” and negative opinions presented as fact that don’t add to the topic or provide constructive criticism in threads devoted to films I don’t even like, just to get a rise out of people.

You don’t like something? Fine. But either contribute and add to the thread conversation, or don’t bother posting. Your “clever” comments aren’t clever. They’re just annoying.
