Black Panther: Wakanda Forever General Discussion and Speculation Thread

Oh, Wan's Aquaman is going for a completely different vibe.

For sure but just looking at this, I think of how epic and Aquaman movie COULD have been. Wan’s film isn’t bad but (to me at least) I feel like it could have been something a lot more epic.

Honestly, if this movie gets the acclaim the first one did, Coogler should get Oscar consideration. Given the situation he was in entering this project and all its various setbacks, if he pulls this off like the first movie then I think an argument can and should be made he needs recognized for his work as director
Facts.

Watch the Avatar: Way of Water trailer and then the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer together and you’ll get a nice little experience. Two beautifully put together trailers that make a nice companion with each other imo.

I looked into the actor who played Attuma. The only thing I recognized him from was from his two episodes of this past season of Ozark:

After watching the trailer like a hundred times which is honestly the most, I have watched a trailer since the first teaser trailer for IW I really do love the amount of focus on the worldbuilding of the Atlanteans.

Mad kudos to the talented people at Disney/Marvel that were able to edit this trailer in such way that they were able to convey so much culture and emotion in just under 3 minutes which is definitely no easy task IMO.

Out of all the amazing shots in the trailer that almost subtle, quick transition of young Namor from behind to adult Namor from behind coming out of the water is easily one of my favorite shots in the trailer.

I never knew Marvel’s Atlanteans were blue before seeing this trailer. I seriously wonder if some people are going to think it’s an Avatar crossover, haha.

Regardless of the outcome, it's crazy all the stuff Coogler had to face here.

If losing a friend wasn't enough, he had to rewrite the scripts, address Boseman's death, shoot the movie during the pandemic, face delays and actors injuries, the grief of his and the cast, while introducing new characters and expanding the MCU, and closing phase 4.

A lot of respect for this guy, regardless of the outcome.

Based on Bassett’s line in the trailer, should we be worried for Shuri? She said her entire family is gone. (Note: I don’t read spoilers so I honestly don’t know)
Losing Boseman and T'Challa is just too much already.

I know Wright has been controversial and even irresponsible in some of her statements, but losing Shuri too sounds unnecessarily painful.

Yeah I’m sure it’s a plot point within the movie but I can’t imagine they would boot the actress, for real, over those statements. Only a fraction of people saw that anyway.

I sure hope there's a 3rd party "real" enemy here; it's just gonna suck to watch these two beautiful kingdoms destroy each other...
