As for Isaac, I’ve long thought he would make a great Lex.

Have no idea who this guy is. At a first glance, he gives off more of an upper class vibe (which is ironic given he supposedly grew up on a farm). If anything he kinda looks more like a young Bruce Wayne type.

Chris Reeve, Brandon Routh, and Sasha Calle were all soap actors , so , if he did get it, he wouldn't be the first kryptonian from the soap world.

I can't really be bothered to care to much about the rumours for casting this time around. I just hope it gets done sooner rather than later for the inevitable meltdown.

I don't know if they'll be a meltdown necessarily.

Everyone won't be satisfied, to be sure, but fanboy meltdown's usually happen if the pick is outside the box casting wise .

This guy at best is a CW actor. He is better than Welling and more charm on screen than Cavill, but that is not saying much.

He was ok on the soap, but that won't translate onto the big screen.

The article itself was badly written, in that he sent in a tape, Gunn may have liked it. OK.

Casting him would make this production of to a bad start.

This article may be from Variety, but it is also from Marc Malkin. He's the "events & culture" guy there - aka, the red carpet guy. Back when he was at E! News, he was the "Celebrity Gossip" guy. He hobnobs with celebs (and soap stars lol). I actually don't know who Variety's new "Justin Kroll" is (who left Variety for Deadline like 2 years ago), but Malkin's the guy who would needle celebs about silly questions on the red carpet and post whatever they told him as "scoops." I wouldn't be surprised if his source on this was Fodé himself, honestly. Regardless, with how it's written, it doesn't even mention anything about him being one of the finalists screentesting this week, so it seems like nothing.

For the record though, I'm not remotely against these unknown soap actors getting a shot. Plenty of stars came from the soaps.
