I personally am not super interested in a Nolan Bond movie and would prefer him to do something else. I also don't think he really wants to make a Bond film at this point, even though he clearly loves that franchise dearly.
However, there will never be as good of a time for Nolan to make a Bond film as right now. The timing could not be better for him.
- Previous Bond continuity has ended definitively. That story is done. Time for a new story.
- Next Bond film(s) will be a creative reset of some kind.
- Nolan would have the ability to put his own stamp on the franchise, without working within the confines of a previously established continuity or aesthetic.
- Most importantly, he'd be able to have a say in the casting of his James Bond. I think this would be extremely important for Nolan to even consider making a Bond film.
The above conditions will potentially not present themselves again for another 15 years or so. So if Nolan was truly interested in doing this, now would be the time. I kind of feel like he has internally accepted that he will likely never try to do a Bond film, though. That's just the vibe I get from him.
