PS5 Faceplate Maker Lashes Out at Sony Over New Legal Threat

Yeah I don't like the attitude whoever is behind selling these customized plates. Before, they dared Sony to sue them and here we are when they received a ceast/desist from Sony. Sony won.

I'm currently playing through Kena and really enjoying. Reminds me of the good old days when we'd get plenty of good PSP games. Plus I'm a massive fan of these sort of adventure games.

Yeah its pretty impressive for the studios first game. I think I am about 3 quarters of the way threw the game. I need to get back into it and finish it but got side tracked by some other games and also by watching sports and have not played it for several days.

Was just about to comment about Kena. I'm just at the very beginning but it's a delightful experience!

I'm reminded by the visual style of how much I used to adore those ps2 Harry Potter games. I'd love remake of them in this kind of style.

Yeah, Kena looks fun.

Yeah not into it.

I looked at Wikipedia. In terms of big ps4 games, the only ones that haven't been ported are TLOU1/2, Spider-Man 2018, Ratchet & Clank 2016 and Ghost of Tsushima. While there's already evidence that Sackboy and Bloodborne are getting pc ports. I think Shadow of the Colossus would be ported as well as its a classic Ps ip.

There aren't too many Ps4/3 eXclusives made by Sony, so I think it wouldn't take so many years for PC to catch up to Ps5 games. Miles Morales, Returnal, Horizon 2, God of War Ragnarok and I guess GT7 could be ported to pc in 2 to 5 years by now.

and MOST went to scalpers. we are coming up on 1 year of it's release and you still cannot find em in stores

Not close to most but certainly a significant amount. Independent analysts estimated it to be around 10-15% in the US earlier this year and since scalping declines with time rather than increases it's not likely to be more at this point. The consoles has a big risk of being hard to get for another year as well as the semiconductor shortage isn't going to let up soon and demand is certainly still higher than the production rate. It's not a good situation.

Yes. At this point I just settle to buying it neXt year, as most ps5 games are still fully priced.

The Dualsense and the two other skins, the accessories are easy to find though in retail stores... so yeah it baffles me. I don't care if its because of a chip/semi conductor shortage or what, but if Sony can produce plenty of DualSense (which is a requirement to use the ps5), then they should have been able to catch up with the demand by now. Here's hoping the situation is better neXt year but this is due to Sony's mismanagement.

Just ordered me a 2 TB SSD card been running out of room and have been tired of moving my games around from my external hard drive to my PS5 just hopeI have enough room to store most of my PS5 games

I wonder how long it’s going take before they can produce as many as they want to. A shame that so many people who want consoles can’t get them for so long (and then throw in the problem of scalpers too).

I'd say at least 2024. Toshiba is protecting for the chip shortage to last until 2023.

Happy 1 year! Tommorw makes a year sense PS5 launch and sense I got it. Got 8 physical games so far in Ratchet and clank rift apart, sackbay a big adventure, marvel spiderman miles Morales, immortals fenyx rising, scarlet nexus, the pathless,Riders republic, watch dogs legion. and also have the following digital games kena bridge of sports, Nba 2k22, Fist forged in the shadow torch. Also upgrade the following games to PS5 versions Tony hawk, Ghost of tushima, crash bandicoot 4. Want to get the following games that are already out. Nickelodeon all-star brawl, hot wheels unleashed, super monkey balls. Can't wait for Horizon forbidden west in feb. Pretty good fist year for a new consoles even with all the delays caused by COVID. Need to get a new SSD has I only have like 40 GB left of space. Hoping I can find a 2 TB SSD around black Friday for like $250 or so cheapest I have seen is like 320. I also replayed the last guardian a game I call a emotional master peace but a game that didn't run that well on PS4 runs way way better on PS5. Nice to be able to play games in 4k now sense I only had regular PS4 and never had the pro. The load times and basically not having them is a big thing on PS5. Favorite game so far ratchet and clank rift apart has I have always been a big ratchet fan. Most over looked PS5 game I would say so far is the pathless as it's a very different type of game and pretty impressive game from a indi developer. Looking forward to 2022 and what is a crazy loaded year of games as so many 2021 games became 2022 games thinks to delays.

I wonder if they're already working on a sleeker "pro-version". Since the production of the current models is slowing down, it would make sense to launch a revamped version by 2023

I'm assuming it would be released when Ps5 is at least 3 or 4 yrs old. However with these shortages, I doubt we are going to get a slimmer ps5 or a pro ps5, sooner compare to the previous slim or pro version/s.

I hope the slim version has a flat bottom. Like from videos I saw, it can wobble easily. And I would like to see themes back, as I change the theme of my ps4 every month.

This generation is going to have to be a decade at least to accommodate the fact that game productions are getting even longer and to accommodate gamers having to wait 5 ****ing years to get the damn console.

I would hope so. I'd even say that the PS5 didn't need to come out as soon as it did considering most of the PS5 games that have been released so far are available for PS4 as well. If the Playstation 6 comes out before 2028, it's too soon.

2028 could be the year. I'm also not expecting any earlier.
