Really hope the film is a success and that this comes to pass. Want to see Xolo play the character for a number of films after this one.

This looks a bit meh to me.

Aside from the costume of Blue Bettle looking great, the trailer looks like a direct to streaming movie.

I'd be surprised if this somehow performs significantly better than Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Summer 2023 is jam-packed with blockbuster films.

I'd say a huge part of that reason is probably Xolo's carryover fanbase from Cobra Kai, and fans of the character from Young Justice (and maybe Batman: The Brave and the Bold) - i.e. a lot of folks from Gen Z and millennials. IMO it's a great thing that DC has had a lot of successful animated shows over the past 30+ years to gain new fans from. If Marvel had more recent quality stuff they could've done the same.

I really hope this movie took advantage of Xolo's fighting experience from Cobra Kai btw. Would be extra cool to see some sick fighting moves, especially with that buster sword.

I am happy Xolo was cast but the generic trailer did nothing new with the genre. This character would probably be better utilized ain’t a HBO Max movie/show or in a team up film with Booster first. Not really hyped for this to be honest. The trailer was weak and this feels very cookie cutter- like a Marvel copy that is 15 years out of date. Why pick that villain… Susan Sarandon is great but do the Reach or Black Beetle or some other cosmic villain like Kanjar Ro that fans recognize and like. They’re making similar mistakes that FOTG made with the villains. I have problems with the insanely dumb villain choices for Flash too..Zod and a weird non comic accurate version of Black Flash is insane when Grodd, RF, and the rogues are right there. Just pick villains that fans want and people won’t complain. I had similar intuitions about FOTG that were confirmed.

I don't understand the logic in Warner Bros releasing trailers for both Blue Beetle and Wonka on the same day, but Warner Bros has rarely made sensible decisions as of recent, especially when it comes to handling DC.

I'm still not sure how I feel about this one yet. There's nothing wrong with it, but I guess there have just been a lot of movies like this. The suit gives me Riri Williams, to be honest. I'll be in theatres on day one though.

Blue Beetles power set is great for the big screen. Liked the,2nd trailer let’s hope people won’t get turned off by the family aspect. The Reyes actor has star potential.

They literally just showed the whole movie. It doesn’t look bad. But just repetitive of things we’ve seen a hundred times before. At least they only show his eyes in the HUD so it doesn’t look like a straight up copy of Iron Man.

This looks DTV level bad, and the effects look on par with The Flash. I'm expecting a major flop here.
