Can't wait for some Sudden Death Overtime Games!

The Islanders squeeked into the playoffs, could they be this year's Edmonton Oilers?
The West is loaded with great goaltenders, I don't know if you could call any upsets in that conference. The East has more potential for upsets.

What are your predictions? Teams you will be following and those that you want to see fail? (Any Crosby haters out there?)

Belfour, Peltonen arrested at South Beach bar
April 9, 2007

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Florida Panthers goalie Ed Belfour was arrested at a popular South Beach bar early Monday after a scuffle with a police officer.

Belfour and teammate Ville Peltonen were at the bar when security guards from the club asked police to make Belfour leave, police said.

The 41-year-old hockey player refused and walked toward the officer "in a fighting stance" and pushed him, a Miami Beach police report said.

Belfour pulled away from the officer trying to arrest him and grabbed his shirt. The hockey player then fell forward on the ground, kicking and refusing to place his hands behind his back, the report said.

Belfour had slurred speech, blood shot eyes and smelled of alcohol, police said. He was charged with disorderly intoxication and resisting an officer without violence.

Peltonen, 33, was charged with criminal mischief after he broke a metal pole off a fire rescue truck parked in the area, a police report said.

Belfour is being held at Miami-Dade County Jail on $1,500 bond. Peltonen is being held on $500 bond.

"We have been informed about the incident that occurred last night and we are currently in the process of gathering all the information," the Panthers said in a statement. "We have no further comment at this time."

While playing for the Dallas Stars in 2000, Belfour pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest following a scuffle with a security guard at an upscale hotel.

He was sentenced to two years' probation and a $3,000 fine.

No mention of Belfour offering the officer a billion dollars to let him go? Tsk, tsk.

Hasek's gonna get cup #2, and the DETROIT RED WINGS will break out of their playoff slump, winning the STANLEY CUP!:woot: :woot: :up:

team teal baby for life .......go sharks

hmm guys how do u make these "banner" thingys..I'd make one for my beloved sharks...but ahh dont know how:(

Of course I'm pulling for my Bolts, but it will be a tough road for them.

I do think that they will take Jersey though. We've done good against Broduer and the Devils the past couple of seasons (ever since that playoff loss in 03), and I say Bolts will take a tough, hard-fought series in seven games.

Anyway...here's my round 1 predictions...

Western Conference

(1) Detroit over (8) Calgary in Six
(2) Anaheim over (7) Minnesota in Five
(3) Vancouver over (6) Dallas in Six
(5) San Jose over (4) Nashville in Seven

Eastern Conference

(1) Buffalo over (8) NY Islanders in Four
(7)Tampa Bay over (2) New Jersey in Seven
(3) Atlanta over (6) NY Rangers in Six
(5) Pittsburgh over (4) Ottawa in Seven

I'm going for the Sabres. But I haven't followed hockey very much this year...I'm not even sure how good they are this year.

I'm just hoping I can get tickets to either game 3 or 4. I know they're going be a ***** to get, and I hate dealing with ****ing scalpers. :cmad: :o

I'm stuck in Orlando till the end of the month, so I'll root for the team from afar.

If the Wings just get their **** together and score more than 2 goals a game, then yeah, we can do it.

how is it possible to be the best team in the reg season and suck in the playoffs?

i voted ducks cause anaheim is the closest to LA:woot:
