DETROIT, hopefully the President's Trophy was just the beginning.

Let's see Detroit be the first city in the history of sports to bring home a Stanley Cup and the Championship of the NBA in the same season.........7-1 odds in Vegas people.

Devils, I think we ended the season on a great hot streak.

And if we get to the Finals we'll win it as the East is far superior to the West.

Tough luck for Atlanta but the East is really strong now.

But the only West teams I think can win are Detroit & Anaheim's first rd opponent.

Yup, it sucks. Especially when one considers the fact that other than the Ducks and Sharks, we beat every one of those teams...more than once. Ah well, til next season.

Well, I guess I should make my predictions here....

Ottawa vs. Tampa - Ottawa

Carolina vs Montreal - Montreal

New Jersey vs New York - New Jersey

Buffalo vs Philadelphia - Buffalo

Detroit vs Edmonton - Detroit (Yeah, I know....:( )

Dallas vs Colorado - Dallas

Calgary vs Anaheim - Calgary :-)mad: )

Nashville vs San Jose - San Jose

Ottawa, Carolina, Devils, Buffalo

Detroit, Dallas, Calgary, San Jose

I could see Anahiem upsetting Calgary, and the Rangers upsetting the Devils.

CBC Triple Header on Sunday!

I'm not exactly a hockey fan, but I do pay attention to the results once the playoffs come around and since the Panthers are usually out of the mix every year I root for teams that haven't had much success in the past or for the underdog. Hell, I just don't want it to be the same team hoisting the Cup year in and year out. I'd like to see a team like the Flames or Ducks win it this year.

Hockey? You should have put a "Don't give a ****" option on the poll, it would have gotten the most votes.

That wasn't included because they assumed the "if I don't like hockey, I shouldn't be a moron and go in a hockey thread to talk about how hockey sucks because it's also a long played out joke" logic would prevail but alas, no.

I think that Ottawa is unfortunately gonna kill Tampa. Frankly, I didn't see them repeating or really even winning when they did. They don't really even deserve to win. They can't keep the puck in their opponents zone, they rarely ever crash the net, they're not physical enough, their defense has been atrocious, their goalies face too many rebounds(3rd and 4th opportunities), they are very complacent and irresponsible with the puck/can't hold onto it, their passes aren't crisp enough, they let the opponent do what they want in their zone and keep it there for years.

That being said, I'll be absolutely shocked if they win a decent amount of games. I'm still rooting for them but yikes.

Geeeezzz.... I wish they played like that 2 year ago.

I also forgot that they can't hold the lead and they've hit more posts and crossbars than I've ever seen them hit before. :o

Really thought with all this criticism, it's the lack of defense that pisses me off the most, not sure if they'll step it up in the playoffs.

Eastern conference winners: Ottawa
Western conference winners: Calgary

2006 Stanley Cup winners: CALGARY FLAMES

Just like me the Oilers. I know that they have zero chance of actually winning this series against Detroit, but I'm going to be cheering hard for them...

:( :(

You know, I've always wondered...Why are the Red Wings in the Western Conference?

I'm hoping for my Avs to do something but it doesn't seem likely this year :( F**K the Wings though.

Don't be a troll ocelot, you don't need to be in here if you don't like the game. I do know we have some people that like the game and play it
