Yeah, I have a hunch it was already cut well before the shooting actually happened. They didn't include any of those little interludes (like the woman on the train with the art kit for her son). They're such short little scenes that are fantastic in the book, but are probably really hard to pull off in an adaptation, mainly because the films don't have the narration to set it up.

The also cut out the homophobic slur of that one African American dude giving his opinion on what Batman should do with them during the talking head segments of which was appropriate since little kids might see this too.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment announced today that New York Comic-Con attendees will be the first to see footage from Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2, the epic animated conclusion to the adaptation of Frank Miller’s landmark story. You can also check out the first still from the release below.

The footage will be revealed at a panel on Saturday, October 13 from 12:15-1:15 p.m. in the IGN Theater at the Jacob Javitz Center. Executive producer Bruce Timm, dialogue/casting director Andrea Romano and special guests will discuss the making of the next DC Universe Animated Original Movie and show some clips. The panel will also announce the 2013 slate of DCU animated films.

Produced by Warner Premiere, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 will arrive from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment in early 2013.

An autograph session with Timm & Romano will follow the panel at 2:00 p.m. in the DC Entertainment booth.

Congoers will also be the first to see the entire one-hour documentary, “The Batmobile,” at a special premiere screening on Friday, October 12 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the IGN Theater.

The film gives a riveting, in-depth examination of the Batmobile – from the impressive history of all of the vehicles to the construction of this iconic character. The documentary features a distinguished array of Batman experts and filmmakers including Adam West; George Barris, designer of the famed 1966 Batmobile; respected producer/author Michael Uslan (“The Boy Who Loved Batman”); Andy Smith, builder of the modern-day Dark Knight "Tumblers"; Tim Burton, Director of Batman (1989) & Batman Returns; Joel Schumacher, Director of Batman Forever and Batman & Robin; Christian Bale; and Christopher Nolan, Director of The Dark Knight Trilogy.

"The Batmobile" documentary is directed by Roko Belic and produced by Tara Tremaine for Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.

One thing they screwed up on that sort of bothers me was during one of the news reports..

they say that the mothers council and the victims council both want sanctions against the batman..... in the comic the 1 organization wants sanctions and the victims group wants more liberties..

Big deal..

well considering that a big part of the story centers on how "everyone" reacts to the reappearance of the batman I thought it was a shame that even though they included the scene they made a small oversight left a mistake in....

sorry didnt mean to actually discuss the product..

The timeline for the release of part 2 is encouraging, though the sooner the better.

I wish this movie was released in cinemas. How awesome it could be.

They should release both parts together in cinemas. Would be awesome!

This is one of the best Batman (including live action) movies I have seen. Can't wait for part 2, my expectations are through the roof.

did they ever release the score or at least bits of it? I really REALLY want it.

I wonder if they'll keep the scene in Part 2 where Batman's dressed as the homeless woman when Superman swoops in (well a blur).

I hope so. Nazi Bruno is in that scene.

I'm going to try catch that preview while I'm at NYCC. We'll see how that day goes.

I just watched pt 1 and wow it was awesome.

Trailer was awesome, also don't know if it was the way it was cut but seems the trailer shows the ending may appear definitely.

Best thing for the trailer though was Superman having the Yellow S on his cape.

This is going to be good. I'm guessing it will be released in February .
