Iron Fist Iron Fist Picked Up For Season 2? ( Not Confirmation From Marvel/Netflix)

How does this guy know?

Maybe he has a source in Netflix. I just hope that Marvel manage to fix their mistakes and the lesson learned was, "we're a powerful enough brand that we can do anything and people will still pay for it." It looked like they were setting up Chris Claremont's Steel Serpent arc, The Fraction/Brubaker Last Iron Fist Story and and Duane S' The Mortal Iron Fist. That's some really solid source material to draw from.

I want to see Iron Fist Season 2 improve upon the first season in every way. That means getting better directors. Keep RZA and Kevin Tencharoen but look into hiring Guy Ferland, Aaron Shoenke, Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, Michael Rymer and Joey Ansah who can all do visually-striking action scenes on a TV budget. The Raid was also low-budget so it may be possible to land Gareth Evans and if he's affordable Michael Jai White is also a good choice. Get some better writers who have written the same sort of pulp adventure stories that were popular in the 1st half of the 20th century and later martial arts adventures like those popular in the 70s and 80s. Rhianna Pratchett is the first name that comes to mind, Rhonda Mason, Boaz Davidson, John Donohue, Chris Bradford and Jay Kristoff are also strong choices. And bring in Cynthia Rothrock as the stunt coordinator since she literally runs a stuntwork school.

Kill off Ward and Bokuto in the first episode. Give Zhou Cheng and Davos bigger roles and introduce Orson Randall and Lee Wing. Make the entire series run on a theme of redemption. Subplots should be:

1. Danny realizing that he was an outsider in another culture and wound up stealing their most sacred tradition for himself but wouldn't even wear the ceremonial costume and then allowed K'un-L'un to get invaded. He is honestly the worst Iron Fist ever who allowed his own selfishness and disrespect for another culture to cloud his judgment. He messed up and he needs to make things right and that means finding out what happened to K'un-L'un and defeating what remains of The Hand in New York City.

2. Joy atoning for hiring Davos after Davos kills Ward and frames Danny.

3. Orson finding that he can't run anymore. He initially wanted to use the Iron Fist to be the greatest soldier in the British Empire but after surviving the Battle of the Somme, he became a wandering drug addict, albeit one who's been traveling the world and learning multiple martial arts. He's never stayed in one place for too long just so he could avoid Zhou Cheng who's far more capable than he is.

4. Zhou Cheng wants a rematch after he underestimated Danny the first time around. He's The Hand's equivalent of an Iron Fist and needs to prove his worth. He now has to fight not one, but two Iron Fists who previously defeated him.

5. Colleen Wing wants to improve her relationship with her father after running away from home as a teenager and joining The Hand. She did so to become closer to her late mother despite her father rescuing her from them.

6. Lee Wing needs to deal with the fact that he was a neglectful father who ignored his daughter while he went on archaeological expeditions. (He claims to have almost once found a temple dedicated to Khonshu in Egypt)

7. Davos wants to defeat Danny for him abandoning K'un-L'un and has now managed to become an Immortal Weapon himself. At this point, all that really matters to him is revenge.

8. Gao wants to prove herself to the Snakeroot despite their dissatisfaction with her. By conquering all seven cities, she'll be able to join the Snakeroot and lead The Hand itself.

The penultimate episode ends with Orson Randall blowing off Zhou Cheng's head and the series finale ends with Orson's death at the hands of Davos. Danny is told by Gao as he's paralyzed by the Bride of Nine Spiders' venom that he must return to K'un-L'un to participate in a tournament against the other six Immortal Weapons and to, "bring friends."
