James Bond: 007 - Spectre - - - Part 12

I dont see turner as bond. no way jose. From all picks, Hiddleston is the most fitting.
Idris is an intersting one, and i have no doubt he'd have all the potential to plant a great bond character, but as obvious as it is, he isnt fit for it because of his ethnicity.
Without being at all racist in any way, he is black, and the Bond character just isnt able to 'suddenly' be black. It's like turning shaft suddenly into a white guy. it doesnt fit. replacing will smith in bad boys with a white character.
some things are just meant to be like they are.

id love idris playing a bond-like character.

but as for actual bond, nah. that wont go.

When we're talking about race-changing white characters there's always a good enough reason for it. The entertainment industry is trying to appease audiences as quickly as possible so they're not really bothered about what does or doesn't make sense.

Naomie Harris is getting some buzz for Moonlight.

Christian Bale has an Oscar and has been Batman. He doesn't need Bond even if they were considering him.

Besides that he has the same problem as Elba. Eon is going to want someone who can play Bond for a decade or more. They are not going to cast someone who is going to be in their mid-40s for their debut film.

At the moment, we’ve done it. I’m not in discussion with anybody about anything. If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money

Definitely sounds like coaxing him to phone it in for two back to back movies makes a ton of sense :whatever:

Yeah I'm not turning down £150m for a 6 month shoot.

I just hope if Craig does come back it doesn't end up being like Connery or Moore where they stuck around for a couple films more than they should have.

I really hope Craig stays and that Waltz comes back, and hopefully this time, Waltz will be used better.

Turner would be my choice.

He reminds me of Dalton and Brosnan.

I really like Waltz, and he is a great villain for Bond, and though i agree he should be used in a next outing, i think for continuity, or lets say, not milking it, they should leave him out 1 movie perhaps a bit background activity.

Sony supposedly offered DC 150 million for participating in a new bond movie. imagine that. 150 mil!! what the fuzzzzzz....!

do think it would still be 'worth' it. crazy numbers but DC has proven to be a great bond. it will anyway be his very last outing without doubt, so it has to be an epic script to be honest. if they do this one right, they might even build some 'background' to make way for the next movie to have someone else than DC.
perhaps they can 'shake up' the entire cast then, though im just starting to really like the 'new' cast.
Moneypenny is the thiiiiiiingggg tho i'd become secret agent facility cleaner just to sniff on her chair lolwut no thats not true but shes ffiiiiiinneee.

but anyway, i would still like DC to do another bond. I would however also like it if Hiddleston became bond. He's darn fit for the job. how about both?

Danny gets an accident in bond and gets facial reconstruction and whoopdiedoo afterwards he's tom hiddleston bond and 'cant recognise himself in the mirror' but his memories of who he is are just fine?

would give an interesting twist to 'excuse' a changing main character.......

either way, i've already accepted DC to be replaced, i rather want to know who's gonna replace him instead of lingering on hoping for him to reprise his role and have it all again in 4 years time.

I wonder if this'll be a November 2018 release.

He's getting paid a movie's budget for two more movies. I hope he accepts this insane offer!

Sony/MGM are f***ing idiots if they plan on paying Craig $150M for back to back movies. That money could be spent on other things like, I don't know, better writers to give us a great script. Spectre was terribly written and save for Bond's meeting with Mr.White the actors were wasted. Blofeld being linked to Bond's childhood was amateur fanfaiction at best. The film had no menace or suspense and this is what we got 3 years after Skyfall? Utter nonsense.

Craig is not essential to the role. Sure he's good in the role but any Bond film will always make money and every day Joe public and the media hypothesise who could and should be the next Bond so coaxing Craig with a ridiculously huge amount of money isn't necessary it's madness. Sony/MGM shouldn't even be throwing around money like that for a single actor in the first place, especially one that isn't even a bankable star. Bond is who people pay to see and they'll come in droves if the movie is great and worth seeing and that starts with the writing.

100% agree. Spectre was pony, and their priority should be to invest in getting a really good script, not throwing money at Craig to return to a sub-par film. If a new Bond means more investment on a better story, I'm all for it.

I still say Aiden Turner after seeing him in 'And Then There Were None'.

I'd rather have Tom Hiddleston as a Bond villain. He'd be great in the part. Imagine Bond facing off against someone like Loki.

Bring back Craig and continue. Give him a good script and great villian for the ages make a bond film like never before. Something like casino royal.

I hope he turns them down. $150 million dollars would be better spent on other things. Besides if Craig's paycheck is $150 million on top of a $150 -$200 million budget we are looking at a Bond film that will cost nearly $400 million to make. Thats completely ****ing stupid.

And if they are having to throw that much money at Craig he clearly doesnt want to return. For gods sake let the man go. Save the money and get a new actor. FFS, EON, pull your heads out of your asses!

It's 150 million for 2 Bond films, shot back to back. So if this article has any truth to it (which I doubt) then that levels out the cost somewhat. Though if Sony isn't announced as the new distribution partner for MGM/EON in the next few days then like this article claims then we'll know for a certainty whether this is horse **** or not.

Let's say those rumors are true, it would mean if Craig accepted it, he'd be doing this for the money...

I'm just over Craig now anyway after Spectre. Skyfall felt like this nice balloon that was handed to me and then Spectre was there needle that popped it. Ten years is a good run. Anymore it gets into creepy territory with his age.

Tom was so desperate for the Bond role, he dated Taylor Swift for nothing. Poor guy.
