Well, according to my opinion as a fan of the character that I am, there is my Tier List from all the spider-man movies.
1. Spider-Man 2 :
- This is a story that really understands Peter Parker and it's about a hero who needs to find himself to move on even though everything bad is always happened to him.
2. Spider-Man : Into The Spider Verse :
- This is a Miles Morales origin story but it is also a Peter Parker overcoming story, plus the art and the villains along with how they manage the multiverse is a good adaptation and the first Spider-Man Animated Movie.
3. Spider-Man : Homecoming :
- One of my favorite Spider-Man movies. This movie is about a teenager who, after meeting his heroes, wants to be like them, making bad decisions in the process. But in the end he realizes that he needs to be his own person and trust himself and not try to be someone else. The cgi isn't that great, but the story and how it looks like the story of how a boy becomes a responsible hero is worth it.
4. Spider-Man 1 :
- The movie is a good Spider-Man origin story, if not the best known, where we are portrayed as a young Peter learning that with great power comes great responsibility and defeating the Green Goblin. It is a great adaptation of the classic origin but changing some recommended things.
5. Spider-Man : No Way Home :
-This movie is a love letter to the history of spider-man in the cinematic media. It is also the end of the Home trilogy, so after two movies and 3 crossovers we finally saw him mature and learn that with great power comes great responsibility. Apart from that it has a fanservices that fits with the story. Even so it is not the perfect movie due to its plot holes since there are things that do not add up like the fact that Electro is in the mcu if he did not know who Spider-Man was etc. But even so, it was a beautiful experience that you cannot miss.
6. Spider-Man 3 :
- Hmm. Spider-Man 3 may not be the best of the entire trilogy, having moments that are funny or gringe for certain audiences. It is restored with subplots that ultimately came together in the same ending, so a point for that. Also the symbiote was, so to speak, badly managed and although Eddie Brocke looks like a menacing villain like Venom, he could have been better. I still like this movie because thanks to it we have Bully Maguire.
7. The Amazing Spider-Man :
- Ok, with this movie I have several mixed feelings. I'm not going to deny I like it, but it also has its flaws like the fact that Peter seems like a cool guy and yet he's a social outcast who suffers from bullying. Although the acting and the different tone that this movie gave to the classic origin was well done as well as the disappearance of Peter's parents. Although the origin lasted almost half of the movie unlike the first movie directed by Sam Raimi which only lasted a few minutes. There is also the romance of Peter and Gwen that are incredible. But the rest is fine, I recommend it if you want to see a free adaptation but still maintaining the vital concepts of the character.
8. The Amazing Spider-man 2 :
- It has its good things like the rocking, which is the best thing about the movie, the tremendous CGI Andrew and Emma with a good performance as always. However sadly it was not the same with the story, the secret of Peter's parents was very wasted, there are things out of place like the introduction of Harry in the movie as Peter's childhood friend when he was not even mentioned in the previous movie . So for this and things like the villains and the subplots that seem to go nowhere I put it in this top.
9. Spider-Man : Far From Home :
- The movie that I did not like so much and the last one on the list will undoubtedly be Far From Home. Unlike those that did not show the trailers, which would be about a traumatized Peter after the events of Endgame doubting if he should continue to be a hero, it is about Peter of all the things that happened in Endgame, he feels bad because he does not want to be the new Iro Man. That's not all since FFH does not even feel like a sequel to Spider-Man Homecoming, not even a movie of the character, rather it seems like an Iron Man tribute movie. Several things that were raised in the first movie are forgotten here as if they never happened. In Homecoming it is shown how May is skeptical and does not want her nephew to be in danger and in the end she finds out that Peter is Spider-Man, how will she react? . Well, in FFH she accepts that her nephew is Spider-Man and supports him. Yet the story itself strives to make Peter look like a jerk with unnecessary scenes. Peter acts like an irresponsible and stupid throughout the movie. You can see Far From Home without seeing Homecoming and understand it perfectly because it has no conections because they are two separate movies, when it is supposed to be the sequel to the first. Also again the villains have to come from Stark when he already died. And well those are all my complaints I have with the movie. It's not horrible, like saying it should never have existed, the battle against Mysterio and the battles are very well mailed. But that doesn't take away from the fact that it fails as an adaptation.
Thanks for reading, if you decided to do it and I hope you liked it.
