Spiderman did a quick, unfocused shot. They'll probably need to do more than that for Cap

How can you recommend they skip the whole thing entirely and then turn around and say they will probably need more then the Spider-Man 1 CGI body for Cap A quick unfocused shot is still miles ahead of a simple photoshopped picture, and a more advanced shot now might not require much more then that quick shot from 8 years ago. CGI made many leaps and bounds in the past decade.

The thing is Evans isn't a small guy. He's stayed around his Johnny Storm size for a while. At best Evan slimmed down would make him still seem perfectly fit for combat.

its still more then likely will be a body double, and any take face is visible will be digital replaced with evans.

Use CGI like in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" for certain, It'd be much more amazing if they managed to do that successfully then just taker the easier way and getting a different actor.

The Benjamin Button CGI is right up there with Two-Face in The Dark Knight; it literally looks real and blends in perfectly. I voted for CGI Steve.

with reshoots it would be plain dumb for evans to shrink and balloon back and forth. also im sure he has other movies he might have to do some last minute stuff for, so cg/body double will work fine.

yea like i and others said we will probably see a skinny body double and cgi head replacement done for it. Plus we still dont know how many scenes/how long we will even see skinny steve. Plus also filming is probably go to go up to at least octish. And avengers is due to start shooting in jan/feb. So it wouldnt be smart for evans to loose massive amount of weight. due to how much time it would take to get back in better shape for avengers.
