Sequels Spider Man villains...any left with heart?

There are a few possibilities I'd like to see explord. On one hand, theres the lizard/kraven/spidey
kraven/chameleon/spidey (man-spider)

With all the changes and alterations the movies make on the source material, I wouldn't mind seeing Pete slowly transform into man-spider. This could be explained by spidey's contact with the symbiot and whilst it was on him, it caused som sort of advanced mutation, slowly turning him into the man-spider creature. Meanwhile, you've got kraven and chameleon causing trouble whilst at the same time exploring their familial relationship, (you know, kraven treating Dimitri like a pieceof crap).

Don't see the need for chameloen.

I think bringing things in-line with TAS is the best way, as this is the most popular version of spidey the PUBLIC has had apart from the movies etc.

Spidey got dumped on by 2 villains in SM3, i don't think he can deal with that just yet!

Spidey four is an intense battle, the man-spider emerging etc, and Kraven hunting him, that would deal with action. Conners could be helping pete and researching for him, trying to help stop what's going on with him, and have the wedding planned for the end of sm4, where pete has to run off(turning into man-spider), then final battle with Kraven, where he wins, but kraven is not dead, Pete is in serious trouble, almost like the whole lycanthrope thing going on.

SM5 will cure pete in the first 45 mins, after mysterio plays mind games with him, could be chameleon instead i guess. But have a psychological battle, and the repairs of running from the wedding etc, death of aunt may(natural causes). And Shocker being thuggish, however his equipment has come from somewhere......(build up to another badguy if needed down the line.....). Conners will be the central plotline in terms of trilogy here, as he experiments, and tries some thigns with animals and stuff(not porn ;)) Wedding?

Then in sm6, it's a case of the lizard being a psychological thing, and also being a good parrallel between the man-spider and lizard, how conners helped him, he must do the same! Through in another villain at the begining maybe to keep things going, someone else with tech that has come from somewhere??? Set up a possible third story arc afterwards.......

SM4-Lizard/Kraven/Man-Spider/Gwen Stacy takes MJs place as a love interest.

SM5-Sinister Six

SM6-Dopple Ganger/Ben Reilly(ScarletSpider)/Reurn of Norman Osborn/Death of Gwen Stacy/Death of Ben Reilly/MJ and Pete get back togethor at the end.

SM7-Peter and Mj get married/drive off for thier honeymoon/ turns out MJ has a stalker/Hydroman is that stalker/return of Venom/carnage

I edited some stuff. You all can tell me how much you hate my idea now.

I think having chameleon in the mix shows conflict from a different angle. 2 half brothers trying to take out spider-man, with Dimitri trying his best to please kraven every time. If written well, this could be a really dee movie. Have Cham and Kraven do their research, track spidey's movements, could lead cham to pose as Parker and various other people, lots of interesting potential.

I still say THE LIZARD (main villain) and KRAVE THE HUNTER (secondary villain) would make the best Spider-Man 4 film.

the problem with having the lizard in sm4 is that there hasn't been enough development of conners yet, so it wouldn't be too big a deal. They could develop him over another movie and then make a decent lizard film, not some rushed half assed effort like venom

since the lizard would make an interesting prey, the craven lizard combo could make for an interesting plot.

I think it depends on how much else they want to cram into the movie. But if they recast I would rather then wait to do lizard to form a connection between the new peter parker. But of course, Lizard really does seem to be all but confirmed for the fourth movie.

are u kidding? lol, we had plenty of development for his character more so than doc ock..we already know he's Petes teacher, all we need is a scene of him with his wife and daughter

That's not really development, we need a decent character, the bigger the bond, the better the emotional battle

I think they can do lizard with some small developmental scenes for Connors. Start the film with him and peter working on something together, perhaps his reeneration serum. So you get a feel they trust and respect each other a great deal. Show some family time stuff for connors so get the essence of his home life and his love of his family. And i think hed be pretty well fleshed out. If they do include Kraven he doesnt need a huge explination. He can be a hunter, maybe i think ive heard it suggested before he has like a TV show where he hunts the worlds deadliest creatures. He hears about some Lizard in New York, and bam we got Kraven trying to take out Lizard, and Spiderman trying to save his friend.

The thing that bothers me about the Lizard in SM4, is that in Spider-Man 2 and 3, Dr. Connors was portrayed as a down-to-earth, level-headed, good man - which he is. However they write his character for SM4, if he does become the Lizard, they'd have to be very careful to not drastically shift his character from a "Professor with Good Intentions" to an "Obsessed Scientist trying to Regrow his Arm". They'd be better off under-playing his obsession and letting the subtle nuances and subtext tell the story.

Rhino and Gwen Stacy as the Hobgoblin would be my best bet......

Seriously, I think Carnage is an excellent idea. Part of the plot can be about Peter learning that not everybody can be saved from their inner demons, some people have to literally be stopped. That turns Carnage's lack of humanity into a pro.

And also Gwen Stacy as the Hobgoblin. Girl power!

And Aunt May as Carnage.... ^^^ with BC coming to the rescue to save MJ... Parker is killed but gets MJ pregnant and she gives birth to a baby girl at the end... now THAT is girl power

i kinda think everyone wants 2 or 3 villians just because of spiderman 3. but really only 1 or 2. that was the big complaint for 3. too many and too confusing

the real thing that sucks about that many villains isnt that its confusing, but rather that you generally are forced to have some lame scene that lasts about 1 min where the villains decide to team up against the hero, generally only because they hate him...

that's what great about BB... the villains were always working together, but they all had different and legit agenda's that were more self serving than 'i hate batman cause he keeps messing with bad guys'.

thats true but i still think that if we want three villians, make it three hours

Lizard. No brainer. Beyond that, umm...

Maybe Scorpion? The poor guy got stuck inside that suit. I think there's some emotion in that, potentially.

The Scorpion is the villian that I want to see, just as much as the Lizard/Kraven. Think about it. The Scorpion would provide great visuals and a great story, but J.K. Simmons' Jameson would be more involved with the plot of the movie. Someone besides MJ could be taken hostage for once.

I think the villains should feel real and three-dimensional, but I think it would get repetitive if you try to give them all "good-guy-with-bad-luck" storylines. I mean, it already felt old in Spider-Man 3.

I also don't think a 'connection to Peter' is necessary. I mean, logically, what are the odds that every single superpowered maniac he goes up against him is somehow tied to him? Honestly. It's New York City. It's a big place. I don't think there'd be anything wrong with finding something ELSE to make the bad guys interesting.

Oh, and I think Electro could qualify as an emotionally engaging villain. To shamelessly quote myself... *ahem*

Okay, for Electro, you have to ditch the original costume. Completely. Or at least almost completely. I don't know what he would wear, exactly. It wouldn't be as casual as t-shirt and jeans, for example, but it wouldn't be a "supervillain costume."

As far as the character goes, what you do is play up his inferiority complex, and you go a little bit into the issues he had with his abusive mother that were shown in the comics. You make him extremely emotionally and mentally unstable. He can't be a cool, calculating villain. He is a danger to himself AND others, and his instability is what makes him so dangerous. His powers give him, by far, the highest capacity for widespread destruction, of any Spider-Man villain thus far, and he lacks the ability to think clearly. Scary.

What it culminates to, of course, is a climax where, in an effort to prove himself to everyone (in his own neurotic mind), he absorbs a ridiculous amount of electricity (a la the Light Up the Night storyline) which makes him really powerful, he basically threatens to electrocute everyone in New York (or everyone in the general vicinity; the specific range isn't important right now). Of course, he would be foiled by Spider-Man. His death (and yes, he WOULD die) would either be by willing suicide due to his humiliation at Spider-Man simultaneously defeating him and saving his life (since the amount of electricity he absorbs would likely kill him) or by pridefully refusing to heed Spidey's warnings even after he tells him the amount of electricty he's absorbing will kill him. Or something. Just a half-baked idea.

I don't think Electro has to be a two-dimensional, special-effects driven character. Thoughts?

lizard and scorpion together would be a bit too similar, in a weird way.
