I knew exactly what I was going to do in my universe before the game even came out

According to WWE sources, as of now the first name for the 2014 Hall of Fame class will be revealed tonight on RAW.
It's expected that name could be Ultimate Warrior. He's said to be a guarantee to headline this year's class and typically WWE likes to announce a big name first, wait a few weeks, and then reveal more names.

Other names expected to go in this year include Paul Bearer and Jake "The Snake" Roberts. WWE's also looking to induct a tag team but hasn't yet decided on who.

As for who inducts each person, it remains to be seen as this usually isn't decided until weeks after the announcement of the inductees.

Both The Undertaker and Kane together are being talked about to induct Bearer. It will be significant as Undertaker normally doesn't appear at the HOF, but a source told WZ the company doesn't think they can have Bearer going into the HOF without Undertaker involved.

It's unknown who would induct Warrior as he didn't have a direct connection to anyone in his WWE career except for Hulk Hogan and there are doubts of if Hogan should or would induct him.

We'll bring you more information as we get it.

Two words for who should induct the rumored HOF headliner: Phil Collins.

I get to see raw live tonight. Will post details if they have free wifi.

Slushy, I think it's awesome you've gotten to meet all these stars and have them pose with the belt

Dude!! You need to have a sign that says "The Wrestling Thread is LIVE on Raw!!"

Thread title of the year :woot:

Regarding potential title unification, I'd like to see them bring in a TV title. Always liked that concept

Also other potential choices to induct that guy would be Vince, RVD, or maybe Punk since he's had some kind words for Punk over the years. It's a short list though lol.

I just can't see Piper gettin over as a heel at this point. I think people just love him too much. He would have to like take a dump on Trish Stratus's face in the middle of the ring while punching AJ Lee and making fun of JR's palsy to get booed.

The Winnipeg Sun is reporting that Chris Jericho is scheduled for a 3/8 WWE house show in Winnipeg, which for many years, was his hometown. You can check it out at this link. Thanks to Jamie F. for sending it along. PWInsider.com has not independently confirmed Jericho is returning. Jericho has, as usual, denied any planned WWE return for 2014, publicly stating he and his band would be working on a new CD. Time will tell whether yet another return might have been spoiled.

Somewhere... Vince just came.

Something that amuses me when I see people in the wrestling business talk about booking:

Have you ever noticed that a lot of guys that often get criticized for booking decisions like Vince Russo often defend their booking by talking about how "hard" booking really is and how we don't know what goes into the booking process etc ( a sentiment Wrestlezoners seem to corroborate) while on the other hand people like Jim Ross and Paul Heyman have often express a sentiment that booking angles is something that's rather simple and easy when it's not overthought?

Which is interesting considering how more level headed fans can sometimes come up with better booking ideas than the ones seen on WWE or TNA programming. Granted their are some fans that would probably book in a way that would put WWE out of business faster than Russo ever could BUT I think a good bit of fans DO know better than WWE or TNA creative when it comes to handling storylines and gimmicks.

Thoughts on that?

It would not surprise me at all that WWE bookers over think things and that's a reason why things get messy.

I knew exactly what I was going to do in my universe before the game even came out

Same here, I planned it all out as soon as the roster was announced. I use everyone and I have 4 major brands with 2 minor shows and it's a pain in the ass getting through each week.

I didn't expect this match to stat off raw

Damn, I really hate that Bryan is first up…what else is there besides Punk, Lesnar, & Orton/Cena?
