Falcon and Winter Soldier Marvel Studios' FALCON & WINTER SOLDIER - Disney + Original

I like Falcon well enough. Don’t know where he’s any more comedic than any other MCU character, and less than some.

Avengers: Endgame SPOILER

I'm going to guess that this show will take place after Endgame. So, any chance Old Steve will show up in this, at least in the first episode? I think we need more interaction between him and Bucky, and a discussion as to why he chose Sam to be Captain America and not Bucky.

Not a chance.

Not a chance.
Bummer.

I would have thought Disney would pay for Evans to appear in at least ONE scene at the very beginning just to kick things off. They have to explain why Steve isn't around and Sam and Bucky never talk to him or see him.

I wonder if they will give him his talking to birds power in this series?

Will this series be retitled Captain America? I'm thinking it may.

He may appear for a scene, but it's somewhat unlikely because endgame was a perfect exit for the character. I bet he will be referenced.

My bet it "Sam and Bucky: Captain America" or some variation.

I'm seriously hoping that we see Grand Director as the big bad on this series. I'd change him from being the Captain America who replaced Steve Rogers to being the Captain America of the Vietnam War instead of late World War 2 since Nuke was made younger for the MCU. I'd also use him to name drop Weapon X with references to Isaiah Bradley in the Korean War and Wolverine and the rest of Team X in the 1980s to set up Young Avengers/Champions and X-Men.

I'd make Grand Director wake up in the present and see things like same-sex marriage, abortion legal on request and a black man approaching him with a petition and that petition is for a Senate run. He then sees that people with superpowers are now everywhere with Alien gods now living among us in Norway and that Weapon X no longer made him special. He'll team up with the Watchdogs from Agents of SHIELD to begin to, "cleanse the world" of, "freaks" and he'll be wearing Steve Rogers' suit but also be everything Steve isn't.

I hope that they save Sin for Thunderbolts since she's effectively a (more) evil counterpart to Zemo. Faustus was already in Agent Carter and Flag Smasher is cool but since we're dealing with a successor to Captain America, I'd rather see Grand Director.

With Falcon previously being a fugitive and Bucky having an even more shady history as The Winter Soldier maybe the powers that be won't recognise Sam's inheritance of the shield and another replacement could be sought...

...Some kind of Initiative style boot camp that could give us MCU versions of other Caps and Buckys from the comics...
William Nasland & Fred Davis
William Burnside & Jack Monroe
John Walker (USAgent) & Lemar Hoskins (Battlestar)...

....Nasland and Davis are the first choice but get murdered, Walker gets set up for it but it turns out to be Burnside (The Grand Director) working with Dr Faustus...
...Monroe and Hoskins help Wilson and Barnes take him down, with the former taking on the "Nomad" persona at the end and the latter taking on a training role at the boot camp...
...we also get to meet the future Patriot and Miss America as this series' contribution to a Young Avengers team that the Disney+ series all seem primed to set up...
...an appearance from War Machine would be cool and i think this could be the story to bring in Julia "Arachne" Carpenter too...

...and it might take a while but I think Bucky will be Captain America one day, maybe after 2 or 3 series.

I voted for Falcon. I think Bucky is in far greater need of character development so I would have expected to vote for him, but Endgame set up a more interesting story for Sam.

Can't wait for this one. Supposedly it's set to start filming September or October.

Do you guys expect Sam to don his Cap costume at all?
If so, from the start or just in the last scene?

I would love it if the entire series had him in the costume from the get go but realistically I'd be happy enough with just a full episode, the last one.
That seems a reasonable expectation.

I kinda think something like this is in the cards. Especially with U.S. Agent having been talked about when initial reports were first coming to light.

Kari Skogland To Direct 6-Part ‘The Falcon And The Winter Soldier’ Miniseries With Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Daniel Bruhl & Emily Van Camp

Kari Skogland has been set to direct the 6 part Disney+ mini-series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, with Avengers: Endgame‘s Anthony Mackieand Sebastian Stan starring. Sources said Captain America: Civil War‘s Daniel Bruhl and Emily Van Camp are also in talks to join. The miniseries will air August, 2020.
I’d heard that Mackie’s accepting the shield from Captain America at the end of Avengers: Endgame will figure into the miniseries
, but the studio had no comment on where it goes.”

Six episodes is perfect. No filler where most 13 episode series lag in the middle with some boring side plot about a B character. Keep this tight and focused on the two leads.

I only hope we actually get screen time with them together and it’s not 2 episodes of just Falcon and 2 episodes of just Bucky and then the last 2 is the team-up.

Wasn't expecting Bruhl and VanCamp for this. It'll be interesting to see how they touch on the subject of Steve going back in time to be with Peggy instead of staying in the present to continue a relationship with Sharon Carter.

They know what the fans wanna see. We'll see them share all their screentime together.
