Russia attacked Ukraine back in 2014 to steal land and people after the Russian puppet president Yanukovych was deposed, and then there was a 'peace' agreement that Russia ultimately didn't give a **** about, lied about doing a training exercise on Ukraine's borders, and then did an even bigger invasion. What they call 'peace' is just buying time until the next Russian strike. Russia doesn't obey treaties and Putin doesn't obey treaties, especially when he thinks his prey and victims are weak. No, what is needed is a policy of containment and deterrence toward Russia to stop/slow down their next attacks, not appeasement and surrender.

It's as I said before way back after the invasion started, Musk doesn't care about Ukraine (or Iran), he exploits them for his personal gain to promote his satellite company. Who also paid for them? The U.S. government did.
