Rocksteady's Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

I will Avengers this. At least the characters looked like the characters were using character specific movesets. Not Fortnite guns.
And for what it's worth, even with the game being meh it was still at least a little bit fun to play as Thor and Iron Man.

I don't even think it's Avengers quality, based on what I've seen. Fortnite quality, maybe.
Yeah, and if it’s worse it’s going to fail much harder. Even if it’s the same I think it will have more struggles coming later in the game when so many gamers are sick of these types of games and with a brand with less visibility than Avengers had.

Funnily enough I just started Avengers the other day. Actually quite liking it.
The early story parts are fun IMO. It’s the endgame that’s a bore. I will go back and finish it but was hoping for some friends to be free so I can finish with them.

As much as I love Kevin Conroy, I may check this out when it's at a massive discount but anyone buying this at launch is a ****ing moron and 100% part of the problem.
I mean I don’t disagree with you completely but I think morons is a strong word too use. At the end of the day you can’t tell people what too spend with their money. Some people are excited to play this game at launch and that’s ok. I was one of them but as more time went on my hype for this game died way the hell down hence why I cancelled my preorder and bought The Last of Us Part 1 instead with that same money but I definitely wouldn’t call people morons.

The story is alright and fairly fun to play, but yeah all the endgame content is tedious and not really worth the time and effort to me. That game was such a misstep, even the costumes are hideous.

I can’t believe I’m way more hyped for Dragon Ball Z Kakarot’s next DLC that also comes out next month than a AAA Arkham verse game by Rocksteady. Life can surprise you sometimes lol.

I don't think its honestly strong enough but I'd rather not take a hype vacation. I can't tell people how to spend their but I WILL actively ridicule them for objectively making the gaming space worse for consumers and developers alike.

Fair enough that’s your opinion and I respect that it’s just I think that’s a strong word to use for people who want to buy what they want. I mean some of these people are parents who bought it for their kids and some adults who might be excited for the game. I just think moron is a strong word to use for people buying a game. You can say whatever you like I just offered my opinion to that.

Parents shouldn't be buying M rated titles for their kids. You would have to be living under a rock to still be excited for this. If it's somehow successful, it's a massive problem for the IP and the industry as a whole and if it flops, Rocksteady as a studio is dead. It's lose lose for everyone and I am 100% salty about it. WB as a publisher has completely **** the bed with their current games. MK1 is so over monetized, the game is on life support competitively. People don't even want to play it for money.

Depends on the parent and kid. My mom bought me GTA 3 when I was 12 as did a ton of parents and some parents still do it today and speaking for myself I turned out alright as did my friends whom I still know today. You have the right to feel how you feel man I just offered my opinion on the moron aspect.

Well I am enjoying it quite a bit so far. Just beat Abomination but shame to hear it can't keep up the quality.

I meant the whole story part was fine rather than just the early part of it (in case my wording was confusing), it’s the live service endgame once you’re done with the story that doesn’t give much incentive to keep playing.

Yeah.....how this game treats WW...I'll pass. Zero interest

Just going to say, from a quick spoiler, if you are interested just for Conroy, you may really, really want to pass.

You're not wrong.

I've watched certain scenes on YouTube. Holy moly did this take a big dump on the legacy of the Arkham verse Batman. I can't believe this was the swan song for Kevin Conroy's Batman. What a poor way to bow out.

The best thing anyone can do is not throw one single cent towards this game.

To be fair, I am confident that Rocksteady did not know that Conroy was going to pass. Its still not a great thing, and now I fully understand why they couldn't use it to market the game.

This edgy take just isn't for me even if it wasn't a GaaS looter shooter. You have to check both boxes to really embrace this.

Saw a few cutscenes...yeah this game is a no buy for me...ever.
No interest in this game that treats these character this way.
This should never have been in the Arkham universe, an absolute insult to that Universe.

If only the alleged ending of Flash fixing the timeline would have happened, but unless there is a secret one...this ending sucks.

I saw THAT final scene for Arkham verse Batman. Yeah, I'm all set on this. I'm not one to **** on games as much as the gaming community currently does, but I can't believe that's how they've decided to end this version of Batman and Conroys legacy. oof.

So in a game called "Kill the Justice League", featuring villains as main characters fighting evil/warped versions of the Justice League, people are up in arms that they actually...killed members of the Justice League? Wild.

Also, let's not pretend Conroy didn't willingly choose to sign up for this, nor did the developers have any idea he would pass away so suddenly and tragically. Conroy was always down to be a part of various Batman takes. I think it's completely unfair to say this "****s on his legacy" or whatever, but to each his own. It's just a video game.

It was always bound to lead to "controversy" lets be real.
And its part of why the idea has a lot of potential.
The games idea is interesting because of the moral.
Playing the Suicide Squad and having to literally kill the Justice league is a interesting concept because of the nature of it.
With that i got no problem.
My problem is that from what i saw, it is not done well and the game constantly disrespects the Justice league and these characters.
You always would have had a hard time justifiying the story because the characters are just that beloved.
But the writing makes no attempt to sell it to you...its just edgy Suicide Squad being unlikeable and killing the justice league who has been brainwashed etc.

And the way the wrote Batmans death was just filled with so much disrespect for a character that was so important to many.
Lot of peple became Batman fans thanks to the Arkham series, so killing him off this way...just feels disrespectful.

I dont agree with the ones who try to use Kevin Conroys passing to justify downright hate towards the developers...but i understand those that are angry with how the Arkham Batman got killed off.
Because there is on reason this has to be in the Arkham universe at all.
