2021 NFL - Some Fans Allowed?

Brees and Brady both sucked. The attempts to act like Brady did something today is ridiculous. The Saints turned the ball over 4 times, most on their side of the field. Aaron Rodgers' arm still works.

Brady's arm still works. He lit up Washington. The Saints defense just gave him trouble all year. Not shocked he had a meh game, really. But agreed on Brees. He has looked done all year to me.

I know TB won the last meeting, but I do favor GB this go around. January in the cold not historically good for Florida teams.

Brady should have been picked like 3 times today. Brady's arm isn't Brees, but it is certainly not close to top tier. We can say the Saints gave him trouble, but the truth is any good defense that can get pressure has given him trouble. Get to Brady and he crumbles.

That is true, but that has been the book on Brady even when he was at the top of his game. Not like that is new information, lol. The Saints defense knows how to manhandle the Bucs offensive line. So it is a bad match up. Packers I think have a less dynamic defense in that regard. So I expect Brady to have a cleaner pocket next game. But I don't think it matters since I expect the cold to make it hard on the Bucs defense.

It's different now. The stats show it. Brady 10 years ago had a much greater threat of the deep ball and thus the pressure game effected him differently, because getting to him was more of a gamble. Brady isn't winning these games. He is dependent on his defense, which got very lucky two weeks in a row with utter dross at QB. Even then, the games were close and they shouldn't have been.

Dude still had 40 TD passes this year. Deep ball or not, Brady is still performing at a high level overall. This ain't like Peyton that last year at Denver when he couldn't throw 10 yards.

How good is the GB defense? I haven't really watched enough of them this year to tell and the little I have they didn't seem that great.

I think offensively they'll be fine, and I think they'll be able to torch the defense of any of the remaining teams. It's that same kind of great scheme that's come out of Mike Shanahan's system that Mckvay and Kyle both run, but with a top tier quarterback. Their biggest fault last year was the defense and getting completely run over by the 49ers. This year all three of the teams left are going to be pretty pass happy, so if the defense can clamp down on big chunk plays, I think they'll be good.

Tampa might be the biggest challenge depending on how the early parts of the game play out. It GB gets a good lead and doesn't turn the ball over like they did in week 3, they'll runaway with it, as Tampa will resort to Arians' stupid "no risk it, no biscuit" and chuck up and down the field which Brady has been consistently terrible at this year. If it's close and Brady gets to do it how he's done most of his career (which is the reason they were able to hang around today), Packers are in trouble. Brady hasn't been pretty bad this year and you need to force him to throw the ball 15+ yards or else you're going to get picked apart.

That all said, i had a horrible weekend in terms of picks. Next weekend better be better, because if I have to watch a Bucs/Bills Super Bowl I'm gonna flip :argh:

I think AFC game entirely comes down to how healthy is Mahomes. If he is out or not at 100%, I think Bills win. If he recovers fully, Chiefs win

Lol. I’m really hoping for a Bucs Bills SB. I love watching Brady play. I always have. Admittedly he hasn’t been as strong this year as in years past, and people diminish him because he has more weapons this year, but the guy is like Macgyver, he makes incredible use of what he has.

As for the bills, they’re great to watch. Elite defense when they want to be. Josh Allen is on the cusp, if he can just be more accurate. And Diggs is a stud.

Brady is the guy most people love to hate at this point. But like you there are some that love him unironically. :o

I will be the first guy to say I have enjoyed watching Brady in his career, but that doesn't blind me or anything. No matter how ya slice it, a 40 TD season is great. I don't care what weapons or protection arguments you make, plenty of guys with loads of weapons don't sniff anywhere near 40 TDs with superior skill sets to the 43 year old QB. Seen plenty of QBs who hit that age mountain and fell down fast, and Brady has hit a depression in skills for sure. But man still can play. Like I said above, I am not seeing Manning when all he could do was hand off the football to the running back and the Denver defense literally had to win games. Even Brees in the same game looked far more done than Brady at this stage.

Now, is Brady at the level of Rodgers this season? Nobody is. Not even Mahomey! Man is playing out of his mind, and that mixed with the cold weather is why I think the Packers will win. But does that make Brady a bum? Heck no

I agree with everything you say. It was actually very hard to watch Brees out there yesterday. He lacked velocity on his throws and too often even the short passes floated. His TE didn’t help him either. Brady was good but not stellar yesterday and he had a few bad throws that he was lucky weren’t picked off. But he brings tons of intangibles and has a brilliant football IQ. That makes up for a lot.

All that said, the Bucs ability to win next weekend hinges on Jones’ quad and Fournette showing up strong. Brady needs them so that he can develop some play action.

I give a definite edge to Green Bay. Also, I'd like to see Rodgers get another SB trophy. I think the Bills have a real shot at the Chiefs even with Mahomes. If he's out, KC is toast. The Browns really should have beaten them, but they had too many brain farts.

I am leaning toward Packers vs Bills today being the Super Bowl. I think this is Aaron's year. I have a hard time right now seeing any team beating them.

Never take the only QB in the conference championship round who hasn't won a SB, even if his team is playing better than anyone's.

Unlikely that both #1 seeds make it to the SB.

So TB vs KC it is.

I favor the Bills mostly due to the status of Mahomes. Even if he clears concussion protocol, he could barely run on that toe injury. If he isn't 100%, I think Bills are gonna win.

I have no idea what the conditions will be in Green Bay, but this is a game they have been waiting a long time for, ,and Brady is mostly cooked. This is Aaron's f' you season and while Tampa's defense is very good, but so are the Rams. I have the Pack winning the SB, so the Pack here obviously.

If Mahomes can play, I have the Chefs. If he can't, then the Bills.

I think that would be the common opinion. That being said, I think the Browns had a pretty good chance winning that game even if Mahomes hadn't gotten hurt. They made a couple of stupid mistakes that hurt them and took them out of that game.

KC's kicker is terrible, so he might be an issue. But it's Patrick Mahomes. If he is within 10 points under 5, he probably most likely to win. So the Bills have a lot of great aspects, but give me Mahomes.

Brady is cooked?? Give me a break. Have you been watching this season?

I would put Brady in the top 1/3-1/2 of the QBs playing today. So, somewhere between maybe 11 and 15. He's ranked that high because of his knowledge rather than ability, but, hey, he's ancient when it comes to QBs.

EDIT: That rating will most definitely drop next year. There are some guys on the upswing that he maybe barely beat out this year.

All you had to do is watch the two playoff games so far. He's not been good. A lot of poor, underthrown balls on slants and crossing patterns. His balls on outs are terrible. A lot like the accused rapist up in Pittsburgh, he can have a good game every once in a while. He can throw deep if all conditions are right. But the dude has feasted on poor teams most of the season, with a good defense that continually hands the offense the ball.

I wouldn't say Brady's cooked, he definitely has at least another year of good football, but he's no where near where he used to be. 11-15 is a good spot to put him.

His age has definitely affected his game immensely, but not due to his lack of physical ability. There have been plenty of great balls and throws that can keep up with some of the young guys. He's much more focused on preservation and doesn't want to take the hits, though. Speed him up and he gets really sloppy, it's been that way all year. Super inaccurate because he's whipping the ball out just so it's not in his hands.

His deep ball is definitely bad though, that I think is because of his inability to gage how much strength he needs to put in it. You watch him on some of those throws and you know he's not confident in where it'll be placed.
