Delroy Lindo is always solid and should be a bigger star. And he feels like a good fit for the character in this story. As I recall one of the major issues of the main character was the insecurity of feeling like you're forever living in the shadow of your larger-than-life father. I can easily picture Lindo playing that kind of father. He has quite a formidable screen presence.
