Can't be. They already have Pym Particles (which Hank mentions by name) in the first film.
My bad. Totally forgot that!

Damn man, that's sad if that's the case. Try to out-dark that, DCEU!
Pretty weak film coming off Black Panther and IW. While it has it's moments, there is something off about this movie. It came off a little uninspired and feels like filler. It's not some "palette cleanser coming off IW" most of these reviews are calling it.
I noticed that as well. It's almost like after BP and IW, having such a small-scale film was a big letdown for them. I think they should understand that not everything can or needs to be on such a grand scale.A lot of the youtube reviewers didn't like the film, even some of my favorites. This is like the first time my opinion differed from most of them.
I liked it. Not as much as I loved the last three MCU releases but this was a joy.
The biggest issue was I had no idea what Walton Goggins' characters motivations were. It felt like he was just there.
I 100% agree that this movie showed me that Marvel would do a kick@$$ Fantastic Four movie when given the chance.
Just watched it in IMAX 3D. I thought the beginning was good the middle was a little dull and then as soon as they went back to the quantum realm I perked up. The movie has flashes of the Incredibles with the family dynamic...makes an MCU FANTASTIC FOUR even more exciting to look forward to.
At times it felt more like an episode of SHIELD rather than a Marvel Studios Feature Film - the script, stakes and pacing was much like a TV show- the ABC ones since the Netflix shows are easily better than this movie.
It wasnt as bad as TIH but not as good as IM3...probably about on par if not slightly better than Thor 2 I thought AMATW humour wasnt as good as the first one as many jokes fell flat especially when there was the awkward moment in the end between Randall Park and Scott Lang about seeing you again.
I actually liked the smaller personal stakes of Ant-Man and the Wasp. I don't think you can survive with every movie being like end of the world/universe stakes.[/
You made a good point there.

I think it's just a combination of Ant-Man being the least popular of the individual MCU franchises so far, a bit of overcrowding at the box office (Incredibles 2, Hotel Transylvania 3, etc.) and people just making summer plans that don't involve going to the movies. I think had Ant-Man and the Wasp opened in November in the usual spot typically reserved for MCU movies in recent years it would have had better numbers. This got me to wondering. Is the decent but not great BO due to the general audience being turned off by all the death in IW?
That was over 25 years ago. She is 60. I think she looked great in this. And Michelle Pfeffier. What happened to her? She used to be so beautiful in "Batman Returns".
Just got back from a screening.
Favourite character has to be Michael Pena's Louis. The guy is so funny and comedic genius that he shines in all his scenes.

A pity that....sheonly appears in two flashback scenes in the beginning and only appears at the end finale of the movie.
