OS actuals for the weekend came in a bit higher at $92.5 million. That’s about 9 million ahead of MOM and 24 million ahead of WF (L&T numbers too embarrassing to quote). Bumps WW to 531 after Sunday. Some people starting to talk about 900+.

Yeah, it’s really done well. Fast X will probably hit it pretty hard this weekend though, it’s still a strong OS franchise.

Fast seems to be still crazy strong overseas but now useless domestically. Maybe Guardians can outlast it domestically with the way it’s holding and with the predicted open for Fast.

Box office pro goes with 29-35 for weekend #3. Hopefully it’s toward the higher end of that range.

I mean props to everyone for rebuilding the franchise after Tokyo Drift, but it's run its course.

Disney/Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 at 4,450 theaters is looking at an estimated $8.2m Friday for a third weekend of $32.7M, -46% for a running total of $267.2M. That’s a really good hold considering Universal took all the pic’s PLF and Imax screens. That third weekend amount is not that far from GOTG2‘s $34.6M (-47%), and 30% ahead of the third session of GOTG‘s $25.1M (-40%).

Deadline likes to lowball so hopefully that goes up a bit, but still looking like a very good third weekend hold.
