I actually watched Spider-Man 3 last night.
Despite all the flaws that everyone goes on about etc. I've grown to like it a lot more and had fun revisiting it.

I wanted to add one more thing about Spider-Man 3. There are a lot of great scenes in the film, but I just love the way it ends. Concluding the entire trilogy with a dance between Peter and MJ is perfect. At the time I was dissapointed that there wasn't a final swing, but I think the slow dance was the better way to go. It lets us know that MJ has forgiven Peter, and that they're gonna try to make their relationship work. It's a beautiful ending.
...and that he's forgiven himself, acknowledging that the 'true' characteristics of Peter, those that May was concentrating on with the earlier 'island' story, hold firm.
With today being JK Simmons birthday and arguably one of the best casting choices for a comic book film ever, some of his top moments in this YouTube video.

Though it doesn't have my personal favorite moment. In Spider-Man 2 when Jameson offers $150 to Peter for his photo, Peter asks for $300. Jameson's response: "That's outrageous! Done." It's more in Simmons' delivery that sells it.
I should watch all the non-MCU Spider-Man movies again, more the original trilogy, to see if I'd still think Spider-Man 3 is the second best movie and why I think that way.
I'm not going to rant about how weak the connection between Venom and Sandman is, or how Sandman sudden change of heart after seeing Venom blown to smithereens makes no sense considering he was pounding Spider-Man to death earlier.
Still, it's awkward to have "I didn't want anybody to die" coming afterCould that sudden change of heart be because he found out that Spidey was connected to the guy he murdered? Up until that point he didn't know that Peter Parker was under the mask.
Still, it's awkward to have "I didn't want anybody to die" coming after
Venom: "Let's kill Spider-Man"
Sandman: "Alright"
And then Sandman pounding Spider-Man consecutive fatal blows.
When did he say that? To be honest I'm not a huge fan of that team up, but his turn was one of the more emotionally satisfying scenes in the film.

Thank you.At the end of the scene where Venom teams up with him, Venom says "interested?" and he says "yeah."
Sorry, I wasn't referring to that moment. When did he say he didn't mean for anyone to die?At the end of the scene where Venom teams up with him, Venom says "interested?" and he says "yeah."
