The Superman Suit thread!

Michael Wilkinson has done a phenomenal job designing the Superman suit for Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. In BvS, the suit kept the same aesthetic as it had in Man of Steel, which was very alien-esque, but had minor changes. Do you think the suit will once again be changed for the upcoming Justice League film? If so, which changes would you like to see? Discuss below.

They have to change it, as there is a rather big hole on the BvS one.

I just hope they won't change it too much, pretty much only change I would like to see is the return of oval "buckle".

I think the suit is going to be brighter this time around. Given the poor reception of BvS dark themes. They will probably make Superman represent "hope & optimism"

I wouldn't want anything too different from what's already there. Maybe a gold shield on the back of his cape.

I'd love for them to just go back to the MoS suit. Keep the shade of yellow in the S from BvS but that's it.

They could go to old 40's as a throwback. Plus it would be a homage to Darwyn Cooke's new frontier JL..

I only hope the blue is more brighter though....

His costume is perfectly fine, but they can try add red belt. I'm not saying it's totally needed, but I won't be against it.

I honestly feel they will go similar as rebirth.

His suit when he reappears will probably be the body suit, minus red boots. He will be lounging around his fortress, then when it's time to suit up, he will just grab the cape and go. Then later in the movie, a more tradition suit (purely to sell toys).

I personally would like the hair to be dryer, shorter on sides and back - it messed with the over all look of his body, like it didn't compliment the wide shoulders etc (does this make sense - like if i don't have a hair cut for a while, my head looks bigger, i look weird, then when i do get it cut and go gym, i looked physically much better).

It makes sense. I thought his physique looked so much better in Man of Steel. I dunno why but it looked obvious that he was wearing padding in BvS. And the smaller S didn't help.

Just give me this on his chest, make the kryptonian script more visible and I'd be satisfied. A bonus would be to make the piping and buckle metallic.

I do like the shorter cape. Not excessively, just knee-length, enough to see his boots when looked at from behind. It feels less "oh-so-regal divine being", more "down-to-business superhero".

I prefer the longer cape, it's very regal.

The costume in MOS was perfect, I'd love for them to use that and not run it through those dreary filters.

I do like the shorter cape. Not excessively, just knee-length, enough to see his boots when looked at from behind. It feels less "oh-so-regal divine being", more "down-to-business superhero".

It looks pretty lame. It looks like a kid grabbed a towel and wrapped it around his neck.
It takes away from.the royal look Superman has. The long cape and current style of suit kind of represents royalty and him being an alien prince or something.

I would like to see the yellow border and black background with red S symbol some day though .. With the long cape with a brighter blue too..

I really hope we get as many different suits for each character as possible. It brings something unique to each movie. Plus its beneficial because toy sales.

I love that it feels classic, and it gives a sense of agility and not being cumbersome, along with adding detail to his general outline outside of his head and cape: his feet/boots. A cape is a regal element as it is, the length allows variation without negating that. It provides that bit of naiveté that I like in my Supes.

One thing SR's costume got right was the length of the cape. I prefer this length over long cape used by Snyder or the very short cape used in Chris Reeve movies.

Once again I arrive to lower the tone - I would like to see the long cape stay, and for more MoS-style cape porn. That cape is beautiful.
