Who should compose the score for the reboot?

Here are some of my picks:

Michael Giacchino
Steve Jablonsky
Don Davis

Any suggestion on who should be in charge of this hefty duty?

Danny Elfman or Christopher Young.

I want the same title credits music. I want to keep all the music the same.

Is this a reboot, or Superman Returns?

williams.

his score for superman was EPIC.
elfman's score for spider-man was 'meh' - elfman does batman, again.

elfman never did superman

Although I'm 100% against this, either ELFMAN or YOUNG.
their scores are the only themes I can even fathom for spidey

gotcha. Disagree with you on it, I loved his theme, but Gotcha. I was like Ottman did SR lolz

But, but, the main titles theme is amazing!

Giacchino.

Close thread.

They definitely shouldn't bring Elfman back. I say bring someone different in order for there to be a new take on the series.

williams - instantly recognisable (and unique themes)
superman
star wars
indiana jones
harry potter

spidey needs a proper theme tune, you wak up to bloke on the street and say 'hum spider-man's theme tune' 100 bucks says he hums the 60's tv tune, despite 3 spider-man movies. that is a fail from elfman as far as I'm concerned

They're gonna hire Hans Zimmer, guys. He's literally the go-to guy for every summer blockbuster. And when he's too busy they hire one of his "staff writers." Someone like, say, Steve Jablonsky or Klaus Badelt.

As long as we something heroic and epic that's fine with me, I love Zimmer's Batman score and I was also going to mention Steve and Klaus.

also Christopher Young, Alan Silvestri.

But Danny Elfman only if he can capture the spirit of his Batman scores and John Williams last truely great score was Jurassic Park.

'capture' the spirit of the batman score? he'll USE the batman score.

NOT ELFMAN!

Tho obviously it wont be him as this is a reboot.

Elfman's score was not Spider-Man at all.

It just sounded like any other generic Tim Burton film score.

Spidey music is all jazzy and uptempo- see Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon.
Music that conveys his personality! This full orchestra for the sake of it tradition really gets on my **** sometimes!

QFT

they should get the 60's theme tune and and basically take the general outline but make it more epic like what they did with TIH, they took the 70's theme tune (the somber piano) and made it into an epic score.

elfman should be no where NEAR spider-man again, he had his chance and blew it
