I just call it like I see it what can i say?

This was a business move pure and simple over one based on actual talent, I don't think that's even debatable? Gal brings with (or at least the producers hope so) some of that F&F money making shine.

I'm not saying she'll be terrible but I know what attracted them to her and it wasn't her acting.

:lmao:

Yes, because a sizable amount of that franchise's audience was coming there for Gal Gadot. Not for the action sequences, not for the higher-ranking actors... they were there for her. Doesn't matter that I'm sure almost none of them actually knew the actress by name. They were there for her, and Snyder has SURELY struck a goldmine by hooking that big fish.

They must've seen Marvel's strategy of casting Chris Hemsworth coming off of that MONSTROUS, award-worthy performance as Jim Kirk's dad. By the time Star Trek's credits started rolling, you better believe that they were searching for the name of that star in the making, and EVERYONE was walking out of that theater saying "Hey, forget the rest of that ****, that Chris Hemsworth owned it. He OWNED it!" And then Marvel was like "Well, ****, we better get on this!"

:o

every thing dc/wb does is seemingly meet with this sort of gripping.

If this is a business decision then it is one of the most misguided business decisions in studio history.

She still has a connection to that franchise and even if she's not a name (she isn't) she's still technically a face 10's of million have seen now and are at least vaguely familiar with.

It is almost a win-win for producers on that front. She's probably still willing to accept a bargain rate salary to be in the film but she's has that f&f cache, so when she's used in promotional materials like i said there will be many people who recognize her from those movies.

Also among the hardcore f&f fans she has a lot of supporters out there. A lot of people want her back for the sequel even though [BLACKOUT]her character apparently died in the last one.

You're clutching at straws brother. No-one knows her name, most F&F fans would probably struggle to name her. If this is business it is misguided.

As yes the old straw man.

Looking at my post I clearly said superman "hasn't been drawn anything other than well built"(obviously I'm talking about a functional superman and not some diseased elseworlds thing as seen in flashpoint for example). Who said two words about 'always Ripped'?

Secondly that's not all I said.

Lastly I said wonder woman is a woman of great beauty that has been molded from clay. And has magical powers gifted by the gods.
To answer your question Superman doesn't have that, no. To be specific, superman's powers have traditionally been something similar(no- proportional to his physique), but with one huge difference, his matabolism is sustained by solar energy and advanced efficiency. Dense muscles...etc...see birthright.

Wonder woman is a creature of magic. Next you will be suggesting Dr. Strange needs huge biceps before he lifts a car over his head. Very Different.

Double standard bs is all in your mind. Or rather your strawman.

No strawman at all, but it's always fun to try to drag that out. You and others posit that Superman must be presented as "well built" (your words) because he's always been drawn that way (whether it makes sense given the internal logic of the fictional world or not). Please present some official DC literature pertaining to the metabolism thing and why Supes is muscular (and indeed how one so powerful under our yellow sun could actually become so muscular).

It's the classic fanboy double standard is all. The women (even if they're amazon warriors) must remain waif-like, whilst the men (being the male power fantasy, obv) must be "well built" and muscular.

"He's always been drawn that way!" is the best reason that can be given. Just funny is all.
