But in all seriousness, I've accepted the design for what it is now.


TASM2 is nowhere near as bad as some fans make it out to be.

But agreed, it's just one of those movies that gets way more hate than it deserves.

Costume, action, superhero montage and people's comments on it, Spidey talking to people he saves cheering them up, the way Spidey moves, Emma Stone.....

It's odd to see how people bash TASM2 for being a 'set-up film' (even though most of the set-up was saved for the tail end of the film) when Iron Man 2 exists which purposely sacrificed its own story to be a commercial for The Avengers.

I view both stories as viable standalone movies, they work fine as such even with the obvious world building set pieces in place.

I know, that's one complaint I'll never understand. So many of the MCU films are setting things up.

Some disagree but I honestly think if you took ASM 1 & 2, didn't change a single thing except add a Marvel Studios logo instead of Sony's, people would be praising them.

I don't know what forums you read, but that is one of the biggest criticisms about IM2. It's probably one of the least favorite MCU movies, along with Dark World.

The majority of the cast is wasted (Jamie Foxx and Paul Giamatti worst of all), Electro looks like a bad Dr. Manhattan rip off, the fight scenes are forgettable, some of the score is cringe worthy ("he lied to me...he shot at me"....LOL!!!!), Harry and the Goblin story were butchered, the parents story was so boring, Uncle Ben was a nonentity, and the less said about Rhino the better.

This isn't a fan thread. The movie is out. People have judged it for what it is. It is open game to be deservedly bashed here. It's an awful movie.

ASM2 even more so I have and I mean this I have never been so confused by hate for a movie has I am when it comes to ASM2 it is really confusing how any one can say it is not a good movie. Most of its flaws that are talked about are either not even really flaws or are very small flaws blown way out of puportation. The frustrating thing to is that it sounds like most of the stuff that was cut from the movie would have either greatly improved the flaws or even completely got rid of the flaws. If Sony had not been so hands on with changing things we would most likely have had a asm3 and asm2 would most likely be considered a great movie.

I didn't like that Harry looked and to a degree acted a lot like Maguire Peter, especially SM3 dark-moody-goth Maguire Peter, that felt like the filmmakers were really running out of ideas.

Jamie Foxx wasn't really wasted, not if he made suggestions and the studio followed with them.

As for butchering the Green Goblin's story, I'd certainly prefer a more classic approach for the character, something more like how Spectacular Spider-Man animated handled him. Every other adaption is just whoever is behind the wheel makes decisions on how to handle him.

Where have you been on the internet? Iron Man 2 constantly gets trashed for that. Difference is, Iron Man 2 wasn't an absolute cluster**** of a movie.

Action is actually amazing, previous movies have better cinematography to go along with it though. Aside from the negative points I posted, the movie is pretty good.

Other posters are allowed to express their opinions on the movie, even negatively in this thread as much as they like. So long as they're not putting down other posters or personally attacking someone else's opinion...I see no problem with it.

Some movies get lots of hate and that never really goes away. Batman and Robin, so many years later, stil garners that type of attention and criticism. Just as many movies continue to receive heaps of praise, i.e. Dark Knight and SM2.

Like Joker said, if a bunch of people were doing this in the "I love _____" thread, it's understandable to get annoyed. This is general discussion though.

It's been 10 years since Spider-Man 3, and I still see memes mocking it (and a lot of them are really funny, to be honest) ... And I like Spider-Man 3. Suck it up, buttercup.

Sometimes you dislike a popular movie, sometimes you love an unpopular movie. The sun will still rise every morning when one of these things happens to you.
