Like, this could be a Cavill hint...or it could be a million other things. Or it could be what we've been getting from her for the last three years: little hints and teases that don't lead anywhere. At this point I'm not getting optimistic until I read some sort of official announcement Henry is booked and signed for Black Adam or Flash or something.

Hundreds of movies are made every year, covering every subject matter. At a time when the superhero movie genre is at a level of popularity never seen before, I can’t believe that they find it so difficult to get a solo Superman movie out the door - a character with decades of comic backstories to pick from.

Ava is an in demand creator with a lot of projects in the fire, so I can see how New Gods may fall by the wayside.

With Dany however it really just seems like people often either reading into her tweets (again, she represents people other than Henry) or her just teasing stuff out for attention. I don't even have anything against her personally. I'm sure she's lovely. But we've been getting these little hints and "the cape is still in Henry's closet" posts for several years now and it's amounted to nothing.

No, what’s happening now is talk of this and talk of that. WB have hired crew and had many people write scripts for Superman projects over the years only to end up binned, so until cameras are actually rolling I don’t put any more stock in these current reports than others that have amounted to nothing.

They have a 25yr+ track record of seemingly not knowing what the hell to do with one of the most iconic superheroes in the world (if not the most), so perhaps I’m a tad cynical - but I think it’s earned.

I’d like Cavill back yeah, but I’m not that hung up on him - I think he’s good in the role and I think WB have wasted the opportunity to utilise him properly the last few years, but if they recast they recast - he’s not the first Superman actor and sure won’t be the last.
