It was cool seeing Betty in the MCU again even though it’s a Variant version.

I'd rate this episode at a 7 out of 10. Definitely a dark one.
I think it's the 2nd best episode so far behind the Black Panther/Star Lord one.

Where to start... It was probably the darkest thing we've seen from the MCU so far. It was definitely hard to see our heroes go out like that but the mystery kept things intriguing. I didn't see the Hank Pym reveal coming at all and it was kind of surprising. I loved seeing Loki as Fury completely destroying Hank Pym, that was very well done and only mid way through their confrontation when he mentioned something about "Fury" being quite agile for someone working at a desk, did i realize something wasn't right and i quickly realize it was Loki specially when he claimed no to care about any of them.

Every hero death was kind of shocking and unexpected. The one that affected me the most was Thor, that was just hard to contemplate... It took me a while to process it. Black Widow's death was very well done as well with that suspense vibe.

So i guess that when Thor died, Odin got the news and collapsed into the Odinsleep, because Loki was the asgardian king when arrived on earth since he was holding Gungnir. I thought it was pretty cool seeing Loki, the army of Asgard, Sif, The Warriors Three and the Destroyer coming down to Earth to demand an explanation. While they ended up ruling over Earth i guess the Captain Marvel return at the end could bring things back to normal.

Really liked this episode, much better than last weeks and sets things up nicely for the rest of it now, seems to have gained a little momentum at least with this episode. It was pretty dark and some pretty shocking moments as well that I didnt see coming. Good stuff.

Best episode of the 3. This was really fun and pretty dark. Once again, did original things with the time it was given and nicely used the What If concept more to its potential.

These last 2 episodes gave me a lot more faith in this show.

I'm surprised by how much I'm enjoying this show. I agree that this was the best of the three, despite its downbeat nature. Sam Jackson and Tom Hiddleston killed it, and I was intrigued by Lake Bell's interpretation of Black Widow.
The last shot with Cap's frozen shield and Captain Marvel ready to fight was amazing.

Okay I really enjoyed this episode and didnt see the reveal coming. :hrt:

I enjoyed this just as much as the last episode but this had the more interesting story. Seeing the Avengers die like that was disturbing but I'm sure there's more where that came from coming up in the Zombies episode. I didn't see the twist coming since I was thinking Loki might have had something to do with it until he showed up with the Asgardians. There were minimal clues that the killer was going to be Hank but if they had shown Hope dying as a SHIELD agent early in the episode it would have been more obvious. I for one really liked evil Hank. Another interesting angle was the slight revisiting of events of The Incredible Hulk with Ruffalo's Banner.

The voice acting was on point from Jackson, Douglas, Hiddleston and especially Lake Bell, who was so good as Natasha that there were moments that I forgot it wasn't Scarlett voicing her.

I saw someone pointing out online that Hank Pym said that Thor’s death was a “favor”. The question is to who? What kind of favor? Did he got something in return maybe…

Could Loki have orchestrated the whole thing all along?

Regarding the voice work I also thought Sam Jackson and Michael Douglas where big highlights.

Could be.

Based on the ending, I think they'll be revisiting this particular storyline at some point in the future with Fury/Steve/Carol vs. Loki so we might see the mystery unravel more.

Loved the callbacks to the Ed Norton version of Hulk of Bruce in that glass bridge about to face Ross and the soldiers. and the Fury vs Pym fight was pretty good, funny I thought for a moment they got a sound alike for Pym like they did Ross (Betty and General), Stark but was pleasantly surprised it was Douglas.

Loved this episode. I love What If's that have the Marvel Universe going completely off the rails.

That being said this episode could have been called "What If Hope Van Dyne became a SHIELD agent" too.

Definitely one of the darkest episodes so far, with some unexpected twist and revelations. This episode pays homage to the Avengers prequel comic tie in “Fury’s big week” . The most shocking death was Thor’s. The assassin turned out to be a broken and unstable Hank Pym as Yellowjacket was a surprise and Michael Douglas gave a compelling performance as did Samuel L. Jackson as fury.

Wow, what an episode. The mystery angle was really well done as was the reveal. The voice acting was great too - aside from maybe Betty.

Michael Douglas was especially impressive. I loved how action packed this one was too. So far I've been pleasantly surprised by this show. It just keeps getting better and better.

Yeah, this show has gotten better every week. I still am not crazy about the first one. Still so very meh, but episode 2 was really fun and this episode has kind of turned me around. I still dislike the animation for the most part, but for the first time, I think this show is worth watching. I don't think it is event TV, but a good way to kill 30 mins? Absolutely

I figured that the first one was going to be a "dipping your toes in the water before jumping in" kind of thing. Looking at the rundown of this season, Captain Carter is by default the simplest premise so it made sense to start out with that but I think a lot more minds would have been blown if this new episode was the premiere.
As others have said the pacing this episode was much better. They had a lot going on but didn’t feel like whiplash like the last two. So I guess we know Ant-Man can do real damage if he ever decided to.
The way that Hank took out Hulk really made me think that Scott wasn't thinking outside the box enough in Endgame when it came to facing Thanos.

Or maybe the fans offering that suggestion gave these creators ideas, lol.

I do wish Captain Carter was a middle season episode now. Get people on board with episodes like these last 2. Maybe a couple more. Slap the less good one in the middle so you don't lose people with a lackluster debut. If episodes surrounding a meh one are good, people will excuse it more.

Even if the premiere had been absolutely godawful, people would still have come back for the T'Challa episode. I suppose they could have switched the order of those two but either way I'm fine with getting Captain Carter out of the way early. I don't know if Disney has released viewer counts for this yet but I'm inclined to believe a lot more people watched episode 2 than the premiere because of Chadwick.

IMO, even though it's not Disney's release pattern, I'd prefer if this season had been released all at once considering it's more of an anthology type of show as opposed to WandaVision, Loki, etc. which benefit from a weekly serialized format.

I mean... in a few weeks those episodes will be available to those who prefer to binge. I see it as a temporary issue, mainly. It sucks for fans of the show who just want it all like--yesterday.
