Hawkeye Episode 6: So This is Christmas? (Spoiler Discussion)

And his response will be nothing, which would be unlike him but he's smart and not an idiot.

Kingpin trying to mess with the Sanctorum would be like that time on The Sopranos when Patsy and Burt tried to shake down a Starbucks.

I doubt they brought Fisk into the MCU after years of fans begging for it, only to kill him off screen after one ten minute appearance. Set up for the Echo series. That's all it is.

Love D'Onofrio. Dude slipped right back into it. Hope he's a mainstay for years to come.

his facial ticks were great.

and loved how he mentioned "his city" - i love that he's a new yorker (like me) and is only worried about nyc.

Fisk has a shady doctor or two under his payroll.

I saw people upset with the way he was portrayed in this episode as compared to how he was in Daredevil. Time will tell if that is the case.

That's why he's smart. He's not likely to mess with them. Fisk is super intelligent. He's not going to mess with any heroes who have so much power that they can wipe out the criminal underworld within days.

A big add to the MCU roster if so, along with Kate and Yelena progressing well. The last few days have made me even more confident in the future of the MCU on different fronts.

I thought he was great. What's the problem with him, other than having a totally dip**** gang in the Tracksuits?

The problems people had were that he wasn't as brutal as he was on DD and that he was made to look like a buffoon.

I didn't mind his portrayal here.

Yay, the second Marvel series I was actually able to make it through to the end. Not as bad a finale as the Wandavision one, but I still had some issues with it. This show at least was already promising action finale from throughout the series.

I think my biggest issue with the finale, and really, the last two episodes, is the rush to "redeem" Maya and quickly move her out of the antagonist role, so she can get her own series. As such, the Maya parts dragged the episode down. Especially with the Kazi stuff. He was okay to start off with, but they really went with the most convenient way to get Maya to where they want her for her own series.

As much as I would have preferred the focus remain on Maya and Yelena, it was nice to see D'onfero's Fisk again. Imposing, even in a hawaiin shirt. And I have absolutely no idea where the complaints about his showing here are coming from.

The final fights was pretty good, other than the green screen getting a bit obvious at times. Fun with the arrows and trick arrows. And the individual final fights were nice, even if Kate wound up on the short end of the stick there.

I will remain impressed with their ability to appeal to a certain demographic, outdoing the mac and cheese girls night from the last episode. I did love Kate and Yelena's adorable fight/flirt session. Looking at a still picture of Kate against the glass, I suspect the actors had a fun time and had a tough time keeping it together there. I do really enjoy their chemistry, and I hope Marvel realizes that and keeps them together for future appearances.

Needed more family time at the end, though. It was fun seeing a little of Kate with the Bartons, but we didn't really see much of the family together. Also, while I understand it narratively with how they ended their conflict, no Aunt Yelena very much disappointed me. :argh::argh:I am seriously going to put Age of Ultron on again for the farm scene.

Given Clint getting home for Xmas has been a big part of the show I think they could have given that a bit more time and proper Xmas fun leading into Xmas in the real world too. Would definitely have liked to see Yelena there too.

is the world ready for a kate/yelena and sam/bucky team up movie?
Yeah, I feel like there are a few hundred miles between Kate/Yelena and Sam/Bucky. Not least of which, Sam seems to have feelings on gay folk that he won't admit out loud, for fear of losing his job.

Would like a making of usually a week after last episodes they post it on disney +

One problem was for all intents and purposes he suddenly has superstrength and invulnerability lol.

Shocked, turned on. So similar, yet so distinct.

Part of me wants Kate to take some lessons from Laura, the other part of me would miss Yelena being offended by Kate's amateurism.

[rages at loss of married Carol/Maria :argh::argh::argh:]
