Superman & Lois General News & Discussion Thread (TAG SPOILERS!)

Any sign of an air date in the UK for this yet?
Have just finished S2, so looking forward to this.

Watching 2×10, the Bizzaro world episode. Honestly, I'm starting to get a little bogged down with all the family drama. Before that, kids breaking up, divorcing, kids selling inhalers. It's getting a little much. Opposite versions of people. Maybe I'm watching too many episodes in a row, but it's getting a bit dragging for me right now. :(

Ratings have been up and down this season but still better than most CW series and still the highest rated series so ratings should definitely go back up once Lex arrive.
Good to hear, thanks.

I really enjoyed the bizarro stuff as a one off event, interesting to see how their alternative versions behaved. :D But there’s a lot of family drama yeah, that’s what you’re going to get with the Superman family as the focus of the show. I thought I wouldn’t like it but I do.

I love seeing Clark and Lois making their own relationship work around his secret superheroics, her journalist career and also trying to be good parents through it all. The boys actually contributing to my liking of the show surprises me more than anyone.

Yeah I thought the kids would make the show unwatchable but they have done a good job not stretching out too much of the drama for too long. Families are messy and if you want to see what life is like for a Super Family you need to see that mess otherwise it just comes off hollow.

In real life it would be so much easier being a superhero if you didn’t have a partner and even more so if you didn’t have kids. It’s much more complicated trying to balance that and the safety of all of them while trying to let them also live normal lives. We haven’t got into this a whole lot in live action and I’m enjoying it.

I was never a fan of S&L's main premise: Superman Married, with Children. I was forced to admit, however, that the series' overall quality was a fair bit better than the prior DC/CW offerings. And, occasionally, it has been excellent. But in my opinion, this isn't because of the domestic melodramas, it's in spite of them. :cwink:

I've watched a couple more and I got past the rough patch. As much as the soap opera bits get a bit much, I agree that this show is far and away better than the other shows, Yes.

Please be true. If we can get at least one more season I'd be very happy.

I'd take a lot more but with Gunns plans coming to fruition in 2025, That's probably wishful thinking.

I enjoyed it, because I never imagined I’d ever see anyone even attempt Bizarroworld in live-action so it tapped into my inner-fangirl in a big way, but I think the general consensus agrees with you that S2 got a bit bogged down in the 2nd half. It stuck the landing with the last two episodes pretty well though, imo.

I think I've got only 3 left to go and it did get better already. :)

Please let the 4th season of Superman and Lois be true. I'll accept a possible 5th season as the final.

Yeah, hope this gets confirmed asap. I would like the showrunnners to know whenever the final season is planned so they can sign the show off properly.

Should the show get renewed for one more season, do you guys think the current Writer's strike will have any impact on it?

I love Tomasi’s run on Superman, so I love the premise even though I wish that the kids were younger and not teenagers. That said, while I think the family drama of the Kents is fascinating, I don’t really care for the Lang drama at all.

I mean yeah since no WGA writers will be able to work on it.

I love this lol.

'Walker' Renewed at the CW

With the CW recently acquiring several international scripted series, the network is not expected to renew the bulk of its remaining scripted dramas, which are produced at a price point significantly higher than what the CW is willing to pay going forward.

I hear Walker spinoff, Walker: Independence, is not looking likely. Of the Warner Bros. TV-produced shows, Superman & Lois and All American: Homecoming could make the cut if there are more scripted renewals, which is a big “if”.

Come on, CW, renew the show for a fourth and final season. It deserves it, although it's bound to be crazy expensive.

Since they announced Walker and Independence fates...wonder why they are holding off on the remaining shows. Just give it to us already!

Depends on how long the strike lasts, I imagine.

Since Superman and Lois and Gotham Knights' season finales will air next month, I think CW will wait for them to finish their run so they can see which shows to renew and/ or cancel.
