Born Again Marvel Studios’ Daredevil: Born Again General Discussion Thread

huh? sorry I'm not sure what you are saying
Perhaps if the Netflix shows were made canon sooner then when the decision was finally made to reshoot Daredevil that characters used in the Defenders saga could have been part of the upcoming Thunderbolts.

oh I see. well if they are still very early on with filming, then perhaps there is still time to rework it and include Bullseye? or perhaps with the script already written it's probably already too late either way.

As cool as it would be to see Bullseye, I feel they are too far along to rewrite him in without throwing production off or it feeling shoehorned it. I'd rather them focus on whatever they have going on so they can make a good movie.

Fingers crossed for the future though.

If the speculation is correct about the new title for Thunderbolts* ends up being something like Thunderbolts: The Dark Avengers, maybe Bullseye's inclusion in a future roster might be more appropriate. The current Thunderbolts roster still gives the impression that it's still a good-ish, if not anti-hero, team. Perhaps by the end of that movie, it's gonna go full blown villain roster.

it's got the moniker marvel "television" I don't think I've ever seen that before
Oh didn't even notice that. It does make me think more and more, that it seems like they are keeping TV and Film separate, from a production stand point anyway. Not that these things aren't canon or anything like that, but rather in terms of how they are running things behind the scenes. Feige is handling movies and is hand off with everything else , while Brad Winderbaum handles everything TV and animation.

Let's hope that the dark tone remains and that the violence is not another case of Echo where it was completely superficial and still felt like a PG show. I have big reservations but I'll try to stay open minded.

I think that's where they're headed. they probably felt like they bit off more than they could chew having the same type of direction given to the shows as they did to the movies when it just doesn't work the same way format-wise. but at least now canonicity will stop being debated.

I wonder if the show will be released weekly like other MCU series or all at once like Echo and on Netflix. I could see Echo as them testing out an all once release but that was probably due to production issues with that series. I actually want them to release the series weekly because it’ll give my Daredevil TV show fix during the course of the season for the following weeks.

They should split it. Release half in October and half in April. :o

New logo is an improvement.

I have no faith in MCU shows, so I would have a preferred a movie that can easily be finished in 2 hours, rather a 6 hour commitment for a 9 episode series. But I hope this is more engaging than the Netflix series – in which I always checked the runtime because the episodes were so long and slow paced.

Its job is to keep Disney+ subscriptions active for the maximum amount of time. Fear of weeks of bad reviews for each episode saw to Echo being dumped onto Hulu as well as Disney+ in the Netflix pre Cobra Kai binge model.

So in the end, essentially what Jeph Loeb was doing with Marvel Television?

Well I should have said Feige is mostly hands off since Brad still answers to him and there would probably be better internal communication than there was back then since it's all under Marvel Studios now but yes.

Ah so you can see my posts.

Dear God what if streamers start adopting cable show scheduling where they release it once a week, but split the seasons for Fall and Spring?
