The All Things Flash Thread. - Part 2

Ezra around kids. What could possibly go wrong?

Red flags everywhere.

I get being irritated if someone is just recording you without consent, but doesn’t mean you gotta threaten the person. Especially a young fan that probs just doesn’t know any better.

But does Ezra Flash still live?

The Wrap - 'Batgirl' Won't Fly: Warner Bros. Discovery Has No Plans to Release Nearly Finished $90 Million Film

Warner Bros. Discovery will not release “Batgirl,” neither theatrically or on HBO MAX, TheWrap has learned.

The film, made under a previous regime, was initially designed to be an HBO Max release, and then was being considered for theatrical distribution. Due to COVID issues and shutdowns, the budget ballooned to $90 million.

The movie stars “In the Heights” breakout star Leslie Grace in the title role of Barbara Gordon.

The leaders of the studio determined ultimately in spite of reshoots and increased budget, did not work, according to insiders. The new owners and management are committed to making DC titles big theatrical event films, and “Batgirl” isn’t that. Insiders add that studio brass loves the film’s directors and star, and are actively planning to work with them soon.

If the story is true...sigh... Warner Brothers

I wonder if this is due in part because Keaton wanted to pull the plug on his involvement or could WB be pulling him out due to any changes or scrapping of the Flash? There are rumours they switched Keaton out for Affleck in Aquaman 2. Could news of Flash being scrapped follow or could even more news of Miller himself be about to break?

As someone who has studied business, the story tracks and is likely the smart move financially. The costs of making the film bigger will be huge losses most likely and obviously Discovery understands the Netflix model is not a smart play. Writing it off makes "fiscal" sense.

As a fan it is stupid and I will bet money they figure something out to release the film. They will not be able to stand the heat too long. Hell I bet they leaked the story to drum up support. (Someone there did if not a higher up then someone close to the film) The info released is too specific to be from someone not in the know.

I highly doubt it has anything to do with pulling the plug on Keaton...

In the end it is 100% apparent that Killar screwed the pooch big time.

WB will try it’s hardest to hold on to Keaton
Maybe the previous regime but this new one I wouldn't be so sure. They replaced him in Aquaman and now cancelled his other appearance

The Flash is still safe... according to the producer, the movie is having a blissful post-production period. As long as you don't think about Miller, of course.

And naturally, their movie hasn't been affected or months of work scrapped, so hey its ''all good''.

It’s over. Get ready. Announcement is inevitable. Zazlov is flushing the toilet. AquaMan 2 will be the end of this iteration of the DCEU.

Hollywood is more savage than the Barbary Pirates. They don’t care about any of the stars up to and including Michael Keaton.

Which DC properties have hit a billion? TDK trilogy, Joker, AquaMan. That’s it right? They’re not letting another DC movie get made that doesn’t have a sure shot at a billion. Even Matt Reeves is gonna have to muscle up going forward. Pg-13 batman sequel. The new regime is bloodthirsty.
