Discussion: Abortion II

They see women and by extension fetuses as property of men so no they don't.

Yeah, like who doesn't have multiple aborted (not children) fetuses in their house? Oh? 99% of people don't?

And yet, the chilling effect already happened.

Thanks to the new Orwellian laws in Texas, a civil case might have been brought against Ms Herrera by some “good citizen” who wanted to earn a $10,000 reward. (And perhaps that could still happen.) But as the NY Times points out, a “…section of the Texas penal code exempts expectant mothers from being charged with murder in connection with ‘the death of an unborn child.’” IOW, and as noted, there was never any legal basis to file a criminal charge. At least not yet. But give it time… The world is going to H-E-double hockey sticks.

Texas has never been concerned with the word of law, or ethics, or justice. They can and will prosecute and execute people who should never have been tried let alone convicted for crimes.

Yeah, the nurse who reported her miscarriage to the police needs to be sued into the ground.
