I also thought the Adam and Alanna relationship (the cornerstone of the Adam Strange mythos) was shortchanged but it's good to see them in this universe hopefully we see them in the future. Even when he's bummed this Aquaman still finds ways to make me laugh "you laugh in the face of danger?!?" that had me like t:

Watched this last night, another great episode. Aquaman is annoying, but that's not a bad thing because he's hilarious.

The way they animated him moping on the beach and drawing a sad face in the sand with his foot was priceless.
