Yeah... it is because it's complaining about something that doesn't matter and no one who is actually engaged in the movie will or should care. So Godzilla scale is different does that make the story worse? Does that make the action worse? Does it actually make any dialogue or character moments worse? No.This isnt the equivalent of hair continuity. This is the equivalent of Han Solo coming out of carbonite in ROTJ and being played by Warwick Davis.
I didn't much care for some of the changes to Godzilla in KOTM and I dont like this. Godzilla 2014's scale and physical mass was one of the best aspects of him, and with each movie they've tried to "fix" what wasn't broken and have made it worse each time.
And honestly if the only way to make this fight plausible was to shrink Godzilla then they shouldn't have contrived this fight in the first place. I would have much rather had a proper sequel to KOTM that dealt with the fallout of the apocalyptic global destruction caused by the monsters and whatever Alan Jonah is doing with Ghidorah.
It really doesn't matter and affect the quality of the film. Much like stuff like "why isn't out hair more messed up" points. It reminds me of people who used to complain about actors being "too short" to play a role because they were like 5'9 instead of 6 foot. And to the odd Warwick Davis Carbonite point, it's not like Godzilla has been redesigned to the point of being unrecognizable or anything like that. I get you were probably just putting extra sauce on your point, but still it doesn't look like they've made a new design (which I guess would be the equivalent of switching Ford with Davis)
But different strokes for different folks.
