Use the female Wolverine for the movies. Just saying.
Or just use other more deserving female characters.

This.
Lets give Storm and Rogue some meaty screen time first. Lets have Storm fully fleshed out as a character and have Rogue knock Sentinels out and calling people shugah.
While I look forward to the use of any characters in the MCU... I actually feel that knocking around bad guys and saying "sugah" will be the extent of Rogue's characterization. Of course some will go wild for that because they grew up with the animated show. Then again I am partial to thin, punk rocked hair Rogue, not Dolly Parton caricature porn star body and hair Rogue.

You know, I was kind of happy that Anna Paquin wasn't forced into that shallow Southern stereotype when playing Rogue. Paquin had a great accent and Rogue's personality was believable in the first film. Her Marie was more of a real person than the comic book character. That was perhaps the only thing the Singerverse got right about her.

The last thing Marvel should do is ruin Captain Marvel by having Rogue basically rape her the way she did in the comics. Why build up Danvers as the most powerful hero in the MCU, only to have that stolen from her just because Rogue "needs" her powers? Let Rogue get her powers elsewhere, or better yet, have her constantly stealing the powers of other mutants for brief periods, as she did when first created. That could have been used very effectively in the Singerverse, had the writers the wit to do it.
Do you think they should do standalone movies for magneto and charles?
Why isn't Laura deserving?
Of course I'm super excited about the X-Men team done right, the characters done right, the diversity up and front, the girls with big roles and all.
But now I just realized there is a very interesting and diverse "power set" to explore (that was never fully explored on FOX). Cyclops, Storm, Bobby, Rogue, Psylocke, Jean, Kurt, Eric, Illyana, Sam, Gambit, Havok, Lorna, Jubilee, Colossus, Sunfire, Danni, Dazzler...
Can't wait to see the team in combat. It could (and should) be very interesting visually. Can't wait to see Marvel's take on them.
The only two females I think that need to be in the first film are Storm and Jean. They are the two most vital ones to build a foundation on and anchor the franchise. Im indifferent to the 3rd that might join them. Rogue would be a good choice except that would make the lineup too much like we got in the original film and I feel they should vary. TheVileOne's idea of X-23 is interesting and would be a nice twist but Marvel realistically isnt likely to pass Logan over for her
I like Polaris as that would make for an interesting dynamic having Magneto's daughter mentored by Xavier. BUT they probably should go with someone more physical as Storm and Jean already are projectile based characters

That's never stopped MCU from making changes."More deserving". Most people want to see everyone get a shot over the course of a large number of films, but the traditionally core characters first.
I never got the hype about Kitty Pryde.
I don't think that's ever going to happen.
Scott Lang is not Wolverine: one of the most popular A-list Marvel characters. That's never stopped MCU from making changes.
Scott Lang is the main Ant-Man for MCU. The main Wasp is an MC2 villain.
