Good to see Spider-Man pass Captain Marvel at the WW box office. Bittersweet, given the news from the past month about him, but it puts that bar even higher for Sony to prove they can meet these expectations.

Honestly, I don't know if it did, but rest assured the next Spidey film will be the real test.

Was actually wondering if it was the opposite, and all the break up talk made people curious about why that was so news worthy.

The numbers on the next one will be fascinating, if it's not MCU proper no matter whether they're better or worse. Unconnected it could determine whether the MCU is greater than the sum of its parts.
