It honestly warms my heart seeing so much love here for Lake Placid. I was actually lucky enough to have seen that one in a theatre when I was younger and have loved it ever since. Such an underrated creature feature/comedy and speaking of underrated The Fly II doesn't get enough love either.

Now, it's nowhere near as good as the first one which is easily one of the best horror remakes ever and one of my favorite films from the 80's, but I have always enjoyed it, especially when it gets to the third act and you get all the crazy gore and carnage. The practical, creature effects look great too.

The Fly is real Cronenberg magic.

The best moment in the Fly 2 is when they visit the guy who Jeff Goldblum vomited on in the first one - he had acid vomit that burned off one of the guys' feet and one of his hands.
The guy gives a very straight up account of what happened to Brundle in the first film, which is a bit rough. Anyway, someone says:
" you bastard where's your compassion?"
And the guy says
" I had to give it up, it cost me an arm and a leg."

For some reason that just about had me rolling on the floor.

I saw Placid in the theaters and I was laughing at all the funny bits the the banter between the sheriff and the rich scientist were some of the best parts.

" Well they conceal information like that....in books."

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Justice League Dark.

It feels really horrible to raise such a superficial grievance after watching a mainly enjoyable film, but I find Matt Ryan's voice as Constantine to be so insufferably annoying. Really lessens my enjoyment whenever Constantine speaks. :O

The Kissing Booth 2 (2020)
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008)

is that the one with Sutherland as the guy who picks her up and it is like a demented version of little red riding hood if so that movie is awesome

Now You See Me (2013)

Shazam! (2019) :up:
comic book movie

Third act went on a bit too long and I can't say I'm interested in a sequel - it was enough for me - but overall pretty good.

Ready Player One (2018) :up::down
action/adventure

First act made me afraid I was gonna not like it :down with its overboard pop culture references and nostalgia but the subsequent acts were better. The live-action parts were the better parts of the movie. Whenever it went total CGI it became Bayformers and it was less enjoyable.

The Nightingale (2018) :up::down
misery porn, historical horror

I stopped counting at five
rape scenes
. Many ultraviolent death scenes. It's very well-made and well-acted but I don't think I need to watch it again and it's hard to recommend unless you're into the grim dark bleak adventure tale genre. Don't watch with kids....like Requiem For a Dream.

First Lady 1 and 2 : Maria's Revenge

Mmmmmm Hoops I didn't realize i missed you so much

PRAISE: If you were ever a fan of Nicole Hoops Alexander these 2 movies are for you!!
I swear she must have instructed the Director to focus on her amazing physique in this basic hood movie with gangsters and drug dealers making threats and carrying them out most of it is laughable but its better than a lot of 75 minute lame hood movies I've sat through. At least these 2 movies give you a solid 2 hours➕
Also some eye candy from Instagram and ONLYFANS models Kendra Kouture and Maria Milano

PROBLEMS: Some bad dubbing and ADR .Basic script and bad acting,shootouts in which characters miss their targets that are only a few feet away

But like I said if you liked or loved Hoops these movies are for you.....LORDY !!

Scale of 1-10 a 7

The Firefly-movie or the apparently totally bonkers McConaughey/Hathaway film? I love the former and I'm curious to see the latter even though it has been spoiled for me.

Neither I care about your opinion which is heavily influenced by your bias. I'm unbiased, this is called a personal preference.

I warned about this very thing in another thread. So, you have earned an infraction. Hopefully this sends a message that your opinion is not inherently better than that of other people just because you are you. If this message doesn't sink in again, I can promise you a nice vacation is waiting for you.
